Topic: Sequence Writing

Lesson Title: I Can Do It Myself Writing Sequence

Grade Level: 1st and 2nd Lesson Duration: 50 minutes

Lesson Objectives:

- Learn to write in sequence

- Create a Sequence outline for your own book

Summary of Tasks/ Actions (step by step directions):

Intro (5 mins): Talk about sequence writing and the different points of sequence writing
Explicit Instruction/Teacher modeling (20 minutes): Read a short story (I can do it myself) and then on the board or a
piece of the paper sequence the story for the children.
Independent working time (15 minutes): Have the kids make their own sequence of the book on the sheet you passed
out
Review and closing (5 minutes): Discuss our answers to the sheet and corect wrong answers if need be.
