about communication breakdown but before that let us first
know what is communication?
communication is a process of exchanging thoughts, ideas and
opinion in order to connect with other people its goal is to
achieve a clear and effective understanding resulting to good
relationship in the community.
However, there are times when this goal is not reached due to
certain factors. Or in simple words when the intended
message of the sender is not understood by the receiver
there is a communication breakdown, Where the barriers to
communication is present
as we now know what is communication and communication
breakdown lets talk about the 4 types of communication
breakdown. Here are the 4 types of communication
breakdown
 Physical barriers
 Psychological barriers
 Cultural barriers
 And lastly the linguistic barriers
And now lets talk first about the physical barriers
Physical barriers- it is the natural or environmental Condition
that act as a barrier In communication in sending the message
from the sender to the receiver or it is the noise in your
sorroundings
Here are the examples of physical barrier
1. People talking too loud. 
2. Noise from a construction site 
3. Loud sound of a karaoke 
4. Blaring of jeepney horns
And those are the examples of physical barriers Next we
have

Psychological Barriers are called as mental barriers.

These refer to social and personal issues of a speaker
towards communicating with others.

Here are some examples of psychological barrier

1. trauma-  a very difficult or unpleasant experience that causes
someone to have mental or emotional problems usually for a long time
She never fully recovered from the traumas she suffered during her
childhood.
2. shyness, lack of confidence
3. fear, stage fright
Next is the cultural barriers
Cultural Barriers pertain to communication problems
encountered by people regarding their intrinsic values,
beliefs, and traditions in conflict with others. People’s
culture affect the way they communicate and relate to
others.

example of cultural barriers is

Diffirent religions which lead to different beliefs, traditions,
and customs ,diffrwent manners of dressing and different
ways speaking.
And lastly the linguistic barriers

Linguistic Barriers pertain conflicts with regard to

language and word meanings. Because words carry
denotative and connotative meanings, they can
sometimes cause confusion and misunderstanding.
Meaning of words and symbols also vary depending on
culture.
Here are some examples of linguistic barriers
First we have difference in language/ difference in
language can result to misunderstanding because don’t
speak the same language.
Second we have accent and dialect here is a video clip of

In that video that we see that he was having an online class and
he have a hardtime listening or understanding the lesson
because of his neighbors singing in karaoke and that barrier is an
example of physical barrier because physical barrier are the
noises that are present in your environment or sorroundings.
