Informative Speech Essay

The topic I chose was “the impacts of cell-phone technology on humans.” I believe this

topic is appropriate for this audience because everyone in the classroom can relate to it. Also, the

way of living today has been affected and adjusted to new technology. I believe this topic will be

very useful to this audience because it informs my audience about the things that surround them.

This was proven through the survey I delivered to the class. It helped me see that 100% of my

audience can relate to my topic

topic through government sources is because it is concrete credibility. The pages are reliable and

Throughout my speech, I will have a PowerPoint presentation as a visual aid. I will use

my aid to help guide my audience where I am at in my speech. It will also help the audience

used in my speech while I am giving the speech. I hope my visual aid will encourage the

audience to engage into any questions they might have about my information or topic.

The way I will address my delivery will help to keep my audience’s attention. This is

because I will keep eye contact with the whole audience. I will also use hand gestures to

motivate their attention and to explain points in my speech. The voice I will use will not be as

monotone as my last speech. I will improve that during this speech. The language I will use will

not be slang, or too technical. If it is technical I will restate my point into terms my audience is

able to understand.
