Executive Summary

Maximum Joy Foundation is a Non – Governmental Organization located in Ghana with three major
objectives.

1. To help teenage single mothers acquire vocational skills training in order to become self-sufficient
(training such as soap & other detergents making, bead and fabrics accessories making, hairdressing
etc.
2. Provide Sanitary care for teenage girls in High school , Hawkers and kayeyees ( Head Potters)
3. Help Street children identify their talents and improve on it. We do this through our yearly
programme dubbed “fun for kids”. At this programme we organize sports tournament and in the
process we educate and interact with them to know their interest.

Problem Statement

About 80% of young teenage single mothers in the targeted communities are unemployed and 50% face poverty in
these deprived communities

With no sustainable or profitable skill and no education, these young women are left at the mercy of petty
trading or men, a wider picture of the future of these young women look very dark without intervention.

STRATEGIES

1. To enforce better health conditions for mothers before considering any opportunity
