FOREWORD

Praise and gratitude we pray to the presence of God Almighty, because it


is His grace that has given me the opportunity to be able to complete this Critical
Book Review (CBR) on time.
The CBR is used as the completion of the task given by our lecturer,
namely Mr. Apiek Gandamana, S.Pd., M.Pd. in handling the tasks of the Pancasila
Education course. This CBR is intended as the embodiment of six mandatory
tasks related to one of which is the Critical Journal Review which is an individual
task by each student to be carried out as well as possible.
I hope for the readers concerned that any information obtained in this CBR
can be understood and can be applied or applied to everyday life.If there are errors
in the writing or completion of this CBR for the reader concerned, I apologize
profusely and I also hope that readers can attach more criticism in the form of
suggestions so that I can maximize the completion of this CJR properly and in

PRELIMINARY

A. Rationalize the importance of CBR


Often we are confused about choosing a reference book for us to
read and understand. Sometimes we choose one book, but it doesn't satisfy
us. For example, in terms of language analysis, discussion, about Pancasila
education, therefore, the author made this critical book report to make it
easier for readers to choose references, especially about Pancasila
education.

B. Purpose Of Writing CBR


a. In terms of completing the task of Pancasila Education course in
accordance with the RPS
b. Increase The author's knowledge or insight regarding the material
presented
c. Increase creativity in thinking and increase criticality in comparing
and processing data
d. Strengthening opinions with standard language and of course
politeness.

C. CBR Benefits
Assists in analyzing a Book, as well as being able to get the gist of a
book, adding insight into the material. And train writers in strengthening
opinions.

A. CHAPTER I (INTRODUCTION TO PANCASILA EDUCATION)
1. Understanding Pancasila Education Courses
Pancasila education courses are a conscious and planned effort to create a
learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop
their potential to have knowledge, personality, and expertise, in
accordance with their respective study programs. In addition, students are
expected to be able to make a constructive contribution in society, nation
and state, with reference to the values of Pancasila. So, the Pancasila
course is a learning process using a student centered learning approach, to
develop students' knowledge, attitudes, and skills as future leaders of the
nation in building their professional spirit in accordance with their
respective study programs by making the values of Pancasila as the
guiding principle. ) so that they become good citizens (good citizenship).
2. The Importance of Pancasila Education Courses
The urgency of Pancasila education is to strengthen the national spirit of
students so that they become the main encouragement (leitmotive) and the
guiding star (leitstar) for candidates for the baton of the nation's leadership
in various fields and levels. In addition, so that candidates for the baton of
the nation's leadership are not easily influenced by foreign ideas that can
encourage the implementation of the values of Pancasila. The importance
of Pancasila education in universities is to answer the challenges of the
world by preparing citizens who have the knowledge, understanding,
appreciation, appreciation, commitment, and patterns of practicing
Pancasila. It is intended to produce graduates who become the core
strength of development and the holder of the nation's leadership relay at
every level of state institutions, state agencies, regional institutions,
political infrastructure institutions, business institutions, and other
professions that uphold the values of the nation. Pancasila.

B. CHAPTER II (HOW IS PANCASILA IN THE HISTORY OF THE


INDONESIAN NATION?)
The definition of Pancasila in the history of the Indonesian nation

shows the following:
1. Pancasila is an authentic product of the founding fathers of
Indonesia.
2. Pancasila values are sourced and extracted from religious values,
culture, and customs.
3. Pancasila is the nation's view of life and the basis of state
philosophy.
4. The importance of Pancasila in the history of the Indonesian nation
shows the following:
1. No matter how weak the government of a regime is, Pancasila still
survives in the life of the nation and state.
2. However there are efforts to replace Pancasila as the nation's
ideology, it is proven that Pancasila is the best choice for the
Indonesian people.
3. Pancasila is the best choice for the Indonesian people because it is
sourced and extracted from religious values, culture, and customs
that live and develop on Indonesian soil.
4. State your argument about Pancasila as the best choice for the
Indonesian people.

C. CHAPTER III (HOW PANCASILA BECOME THE BASIS OF THE


REPUBLIC OF STATE INDONESIA?)
Pancasila as the basis of the state means every element of the state
administration in the Republic of Indonesia must be based on and/or must
comply with Pancasila values. This means, among other things, that
Pancasila must always be the spirit or spirit that animates activities form a
state such as the activities of amending the Constitution and animating all
matters of state administration. The urgency of Pancasila as the basis of
the state, namely: 1) so that public officials in organizing the state does not
lose its direction, and 2) so that active participation of all citizens in the
development process in Various areas of the nation's life are imbued with

the values of Pancasila. With Thus, in turn, the ideals and goals of the state
can be realized so that gradually a prosperous society can be realized in
justice and a just society in prosperity.

D. CHAPTER IV (WHY BECOME THE IDEOLOGY OF THE STATE


PANCASILA?)
The importance of Pancasila as the state ideology for students is to
shows the role of ideology as a moral guide in life society, nation, and
state so that threats in the form of drug abuse, terrorism, and corruption
can be prevented. Beside Therefore, Pancasila as the state ideology
essentially contains the dimensions of reality, ideals, and flexibility that
contains basic values, ideals, and openness so that students are able to
accept the position of Pancasila academically.

E. CHAPTER V (WHY IS PANCASILA A SYSTEM OF


PHILOSOPHY?)
Pancasila as a philosophical system has been known since the
founders of the country discuss the philosophical basis of the state
(Philosofische Grondslag) and the nation's view of life (weltanschauung).
Even though the two terms contains philosophical content, but Pancasila as
a philosophical system that contains a more academic meaning requires
more reflection deep. Pancasila philosophy is a term that surfaced in
academic world. There are two approaches that develop in terms of
Pancasila philosophy, namely Pancasila as genetivus objectivus and
Pancasila as genetivus subjectivus. The two approaches complement each
other because the first put Pancasila as a school or object that studied by
other schools of philosophy, while the second puts Pancasila as a subject
that examines other philosophical schools. The importance of Pancasila as
a philosophical system is that it can be given rational and basic
accountability regarding the precepts in Pancasila as political principles; so
that it can be explained further so that it becomes operational in the

administration of the state; in order to open dialogue with new
perspectives in life nation and state; and so that it can be used as an
evaluation framework for all activities related to the life of the state,
nation and society.

F. CHAPTER VI (HOW PANCASILA BECOME A SYSTEM OF


ETHICS?)
Pancasila as an ethical system is a branch of philosophy that is
translated from sila Pancasila to regulate the behavior of social life, nation,
and state in Indonesia. Therefore, in Pancasila ethics, contains the values
of divinity, humanity, unity, populist, and Justice. These five values shape
Indonesian human behavior in all aspects of his life. The importance of
Pancasila as an ethical system for the Indonesian people is to be normative
signs to regulate the behavior of social life, nation and state in Indonesia.
Thus, the violation in state life, such as corruption (abuse of power) can
minimized.

G. CHAPTER VII (WHY PANCASILA BECOME THE BASIS OF


VALUE DEVELOPMENT KNOWLEDGE?)
Pancasila as the basis for the value of the development of science,
meaning the five precepts Pancasila is a guide and guide in the
development of science knowledge and technology. Some of the
terminology put forward by the experts to describe the role of Pancasila as
a reference for development of science and technology, including
Pancasila as intellectual bastion (Sofian Effendi); Pancasila as common

denominator values (Muladi); Pancasila as a scientific paradigm. The


importance of Pancasila as the basis for the value of science development
for students is to show the role of Pancasila as signs normative for the
development of science in Indonesia. Other than that, The development of
science and technology in Indonesia must be rooted in culture the

A. Discussion of Book Contents


a. Chapter 1 discussion about Understanding and Importance of
Education Pancasila
Pancasila education courses are a conscious and planned effort to
create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students
actively develop their potential to have knowledge, personality, and

expertise, according to their respective study programs. The urgency of
Pancasila education, which can strengthen the spirit of nationalism
students so that they become the main motivation (leitmotive) and stars
guide (leitstar) for candidates for leadership baton holders nation in
various fields and levels.
Not much different from the main book of comparison, it also
mentions the purpose of learning Pancasila education, namely
Pancasila Education has the aim of produce students with knowledge,
attitudes and behaviors that (1) believe and fear God Almighty One,
(2) just and civilized humanity; (3) support the unity and integrity of
the nation; (4) support people who prioritize common interests based
on the principles of wisdom, deliberation and consensus; (4) support
efforts to realize social justice in society.

b. Chapter 2 discussion about Understanding and Importance of Pancasila


in the Study of the History of the Indonesian Nation
The definition of Pancasila in the history of the Indonesian nation shows
the following:

of the precepts of Pancasila, namely the precepts of God, Humanity, Unity,
Democracy and Social Justice are elements that live among the people of
the nation's ancestors Indonesia since prehistoric times to form the pattern
of culture or personality of the Indonesian nation. After Those are the
elements of the Pancasila precepts experiencing dynamics degradation and

c. Chapter 3 discussion about The Meaning and Importance of Pancasila


as National principle
Pancasila as the basis of the state means every element of the state

namely Pancasila.

d. Chapter 4 discussion about Understanding and Importance of Pancasila


as State Ideology
The importance of Pancasila as the state ideology for students is to
shows the role of ideology as a moral guide in life society, nation, and
state so that threats in the form of drug abuse, terrorism, and corruption
can be prevented.
Where in the comparison book it is written that the juridical-
constitutional position of Pancasila has It is clear that Pancasila is the
nation's view of life, and the state basis (ideology) of the Republic of

of the noble values contained therein by every Indonesian citizen,
every state administrator as well as every state institution and social
institution, both at the center and in the regions.

e. Chapter 5 discussion about Understanding and Importance of Pancasila


as a Philosophical System

Pancasila as a philosophical system has been known since the founders
of the country discusses the philosophical basis of the state
(Philosofische Grondslag) and the nation's view of life

Whereas in the comparison book, human reason has been able to reach
things that are was previously impossible. On a long time ago, maybe
people would think it was impossible if humans can set foot on the
moon, but thanks advances in the field of Science and Technology in
mid-20th century, Apollo planes successfully land on the moon and
Neil Armstrong was the first to managed to set foot on the moon. The
world's rapid progress in the field of information and technology in the
last two decades has had an impact on human civilization is beyond the
reach of human thought previously. This influence is seen in the shift
in order social, economic and political that requires balance between
the values, thoughts and ways of life that applies to both global and
local contexts.

B. The advantages and disadvantages of books


1. Judging from the aspect of the book's appearance, the main book is more
interesting than the comparison book. This is one of the advantages of the
main book because it looks more attractive to readers, but the main book is
the drawback in terms of the appearance of this slightly ancient book.
2. From the aspect of layout and layout as well as writing, including the use
of fonts from the two main books and comparisons, all are good and this is
one of the advantages of the two books, easy to read and the spacing is
pleasing to the eye so that readers do not get bored in reading both this
book.

3. From the aspect of the book content, it can be seen from the main book
that it is described clearly and in detail so as to provide broad knowledge
to the reader. Unlike the main book, it is not explained in its entirety,
indeed the explanation of its contents is clear, but not all of the material is
listed in this comparison book.
4. From the grammatical aspect, these two books are good and polite and use
words that are not difficult to understand and the use of EYD is also
correct.

CHAPTER IV
CLOSING

A. CONCLUSION
From the discussion above, we can conclude that Pancasila
education courses are a conscious and planned effort to create a learning
atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their
potential to have knowledge, personality, and expertise, according to their
respective study programs. The urgency of Pancasila education, which can
strengthen the spirit of nationalism students so that they become the main
motivation (leitmotive) and stars guide (leitstar) for candidates for
leadership baton holders nation in various fields and levels.
Not much different from the main book of comparison, it also
mentions the purpose of learning Pancasila education, namely Pancasila

B. RECOMMENDATION
In my opinion, these two books have their respective advantages,
however, there must be something better when viewed from various
aspects such as the contents of the book, so I recommend the main book as
a recommendation book.
