The maintenance team is pleased to present the attached Monthly report. Included is a detailed
report of operation and maintenance of both Mill A, Mill B and motor vehicle for the month of
April. The maintenance team welcomes any comments or questions on this report.

Executive Summary
During last month (April), we experienced few break downs in MILL B particularly on aspiration
channels which had broken down releasing too much dust inside the mill, clearing of chocked
pipes and stitching machine for brand. Majorly, we carried out prevent maintenance in mill B.
On the side of motor vehicles, we carried out regular maintenance on some vehicles with
exception of break down maintenance on some vehicles respectively including one gear box
dis-assembly and has not been finished due to spare parts sourcing delay.
Preventive maintenance done at Mill A & B
We carried out daily, weekly and monthly prevent maintenance on mill B during the last month
(April), as follows;
Thorough Cleaning of intakes for both mill A and B, particularly mill A which still
has a problem of underground water.
Cleaning of air filters on blowers
Cleaning of inspection glasses for rollers since these are mainly affected by
moisture for Mill B
Cleaning dampening machine to remove rotten grain
Blowing of low pressure fans inside mill B to avoid excessive vibrations that may
damage electric motor bearings
Cleaning of inspection glasses for rollers since these are mainly affected by

Tightening of loose bolts on all equipments respectively such as vibrating motors
Cleaning of machines with rags, and blowing of entire mill
3. Other maintenance work done last month includes;
Servicing of dirty grain screw conveyors to remove clinging cotton threads which
damage conveyor bearings
Maintenance of stitching machine for brand at mill B which had failed to work,
since there was no ready spare parts, broken lever was replaced by one from
another stitching machine in mill A.
Welding of pressure fan aspiration channels which gradually wear and tear. This
was done using acetylene gas and oxygen.

Operations high light on motor vehicle maintenance
We dismantled one gear box for scania UAM 821Y during diagnosis and some new
spare parts are needed to replace the faulty ones

We replaced broken caliper, brake pads and brake disk on UBB 866W
Welded joint
Over haul maintenance of brake system for UAE 896H, this new vehicle purchased
by company, all brake cylinders were removed and thoroughly cleaned, new brake
cylinder rubbers were installed on all the four axles.
The maintenance team includes one motor vehicle & one maintenance mechanic, one welder,
two technical helpers and turn men for motor vehicles. The one technical helper also works in
production shift changeovers as well. The team work hand in hand to deliver precise results.
The team also works hand in hand with productions team to ensure proper mill maintenance.
