Olympic Relief High School Recommendation
Assign to Olympic Relief, high school students in the
portion of South Pine Elementary attendance area
which continues to Southwest MS; Palisades Park
Elementary, Winget Park Elementary and River Gate
Elementary attendance areas; and the portion of the
Lake Wylie Elementary attendance area which
continues to Southwest Middle School

Assign to Olympic, high school students in the Nations


Ford attendance area. Students in the Berewick
Elementary and Steele Creek Elementary as well as
students in the portions of Lake Wylie Elementary and
South Pine Elementary which continue to Kennedy
Middle School will continue to be assigned to Olympic
High School.

Assign to South Mecklenburg High School, high


school students in the portion of the Starmount
Academy attendance area (West of South Boulevard)
which currently continues to Carmel Middle School
and Harding High School. 3

• primarily assigns students to the high school which is closest with the exception of portions of South Pine Elementary
• improves home to school distance for Nations Ford Elementary

apartments off Margaret Wallace Rd. and south of Margaret Wallace Rd. and
west of Lebanon Rd. and south of Irvins Creek (Pine Lake Country Club and
south)
• Portion of Bain Elementary attendance area currently continuing to Butler
High School and the portion northeast of Idlewild Rd. and east of Matthews-
Mint Hill Rd. and the houses along Well Rd. and extending southeast across I-
485 south to Marshall Hooks Rd. and extended to the county line (including
the communities Belle Grove / Nottaway Plantation, Mint Lake Village,
Thompson Place, Jonathan’s Ridge)

Assign to Crown Point Elementary the portion of the Piney Grove Elementary
attendance area which currently continues to Mint Hill Middle and Butler High.

Assign to Matthews Elementary the portion of Sardis Forest neighborhood

• increases for students assigned to the new school from Matthews and Lebanon Road elementary schools, as well as for
some students assigned to Crown Point from Piney Grove
• decreases for students assigned to new school from Bain
