Drivers & measures to implement a culture of recognition
We know that our people are our greatest asset in achieving excellence, so
appreciation of our employees is of utmost importance to us. With our
Recognize2Engage (R2E) Framework, we strive to implement a culture of
recognition at Siemens Energy. Through different initiatives and tools, e.g.
the “Passion for Energy” award or the STAR platform, we foster recognition

E-Cards
Express your appreciation to any colleague or your employee in the organization for their outstanding
day-to-day efforts with this non-monetary award and make their workday a little easier.

Point Awards
This point-based award can be used to recognize larger contributions that result in strategic, impactful business
outcomes. Any colleague may nominate a colleague or team for points that can be redeemed on the platform 2.

Point Vouchers
These physical vouchers can be printed out by management and handed to employees in person. Each voucher
will include a unique serialized code allowing users to log-on to the STAR platform and redeem the voucher.

All employees may choose between the fixed point range of:
NOMINATION APPROVAL RECEPTION
1 | 1 point = ~1 €. This value is adjusted using the country purchase power index provided by Mercer. The values of this index table are updated once per year.
ELIGIBILITY All active Siemens Energy employees are eligible to receive E-cards or Point
Awards.
NOMINATIONS All active Siemens Energy employees may nominate other active employees
for Point Awards.
APPROVALS Point Awards will be charged to the recipient’s cost center and therefore
award nominations require approval by the recipient’s “in-company” manager
before it is granted.
TAXATION Point Awards are grossed up to cover applicable payroll taxes. The awarded
amount is reported to payroll as a net value in local currency.
