Khusus utk subjek HE/SHE/IT harap
diperhatikan kata kerjanya akan mendapat
penambahan -s/es/ies. Contoh:
Reads
Studies/Cries
Teaches
etc.

Selain subjek diatas maka VERB nya tetap dalam

bentuk biasa.

Simple with TO BE
Simple Present with to be : is/am/are Simple Past with to be : was/were (dulu)
To be hanya boleh diikuti kata:
Sama dengan pola “present” kita hanya perlu
Benda (Noun) mengganti to be nya dengan to be past yang
I am a teacher disesuaikan dengan subjeknya.
It is a book
He/She/It + was
Sifat (Adjective)
She is smart I + was
We are great.
They/We/You + were
Keterangan tempat (Adverb of place)
I am at the park
You are the market
She is in Semarang

Simple present with to be + verb-ing

Simple Present Simple Past
She is reading a book. She was reading a book
I am working with Mr.Emdi. I was working with Mr.Emdi.
They are observing the virus. They were observing the virus.

Note: Apabila yang menjadi SUBJEK/Pelaku adalah benda, maka kata kerja yang mengikuti
adalah kata kerja bentuk ketiga. Contoh:

Mr. Emdi drives a car (aktif)

A car is driven by Mr.Emdi (pasif)

Mr emdi is driving a car (aktif)

A car is being driven by Mr Emdi (pasif)
