1) A lesson plan acts as a road map for a class session.

It identifies the destination … and

marks out the route, because a lesson plan serves as a guide that a teacher uses every
day to determine what the students will learn, how the lesson will be taught as well as
how learning will be evaluated. Lesson plans enable teachers to function more
effectively in the classroom by giving a detailed outline that they adhere to during each
class. This helps to make sure that every moment spent in class is used to teach
meaningful concepts and have worthwhile discussions rather than figuring out what you
are supposed to do as time goes on. A lesson plan is a vital step towards creating a
complete curriculum. It delves deeper into the details to make sure that you provide
your students with the right information at an appropriate time while making your career
easier by giving you a clear sense of direction that you can follow each day. All teachers
need to maximize the importance of a lesson plan to enhance how they educate their
learners. Finally, a lesson plan works like a map that directs you on how to cover
different topics within the curriculum and serves as an amazing tutoring tool. Through
lesson planning, teachers can understand what is expected from the lesson and enable
the students to understand their objectives.

2) A good lesson has a sense of coherence and flow. This means that the lesson hangs
together and is not just a sequence of separate activities. So, at the time I plan a lesson
a think of the topic arranged in previous lessons to follow the same path with different
activities and some questions at the end that connect the next lesson over the days and
the weeks of the course.

A good lesson exhibits variety. This variety needs to be presented at both the macro and micro
levels. To avoid boredom and fatigue I try that my lessons should not follow the same pattern
every day. I use some techniques to get my students motivated and centered on what the
lesson is about.

A good lesson is flexible. Lesson plans are not meant to be tools that bind teachers to some
pre-written plan, because I sometimes change activities or the direction of the lesson due to a
student´s question or some idea that comes to mind that is not previously written. On the other
hand, a lesson plan should have different plan tasks and exercises to possible obstacles or
unplanned situations.
