I think, if I become a volunteer to work in the community, I will consider generosity as the most essential

foundational virtue to live up. Being a volunteer in the community involves associating with a lot of
people with different backgrounds, experiences, and struggles. It also involves helping the people with
their physiologic needs, and even with small tasks that could impact the lives of the people to make the
community a better place. Generosity is the most essential virtue to live up when volunteering to a
community because it just does not involve sharing the good that I have without expecting something in
return, but also lending my time to help with the betterment of the community and to connect with
other people. It also involves listening to other peoples’ stories and concerns which could help establish
rapport, build new relationships and strengthen existing relationships, and be a person that they can
rely on when things get bad, when they need someone to talk to, and comfort them.
