ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
In doing this research, researchers encountered problem and revision that

wrenched to burst and disencumber. Hence, as time goes by, the researchers pondered

upon my need to accomplish and pursue this study for the end purpose of passing 3I’s

subject. With the help of God, dear family and friends, the researchers had assured the

success of the study. First, the researchers gave thanks to God for bestowing u patience,

wisdom and gift of knowledge in doing this study, to our loving parents who helped us

financially in this study. And also, to Mr. Joseph Baunsit for helping and guiding us

ABSTRACT

We live in the world where technology is evolving and advancing faster than we are as
humans. Generationally, gadgets had been an influenced by students. This advancement
of gadgets of today’s society makes accomplish daily works and makes people do their
task efficiently. However, excessive use of gadgets such as laptop, mobile phones, tablets
and computer desktop can cause physical health damage to students. This study aims to
know and assess what are the physical effects of gadgets towards students, the frequency
in using gadgets and the extent of gadgets do the students affect physically. This research
was a quantitative study using descriptive research design. The research subject has a
sample population of 16 students who participates in the study. In choosing the
respondents of the research, the researchers use random sampling using Slovin’s formula,
n=N/1+Ne2 with 20% as margin of error. The research instruments used was the
researcher-made checklist and questionnaire that underwent pilot testing to be answered
by the respondents. The answers of the respondents that were being gathered by the
researchers will be kept confidential for privacy purpose. The data will be presented in
tabular form of presentation. The findings of the study show that grade-12 student’s
gadget commonly used is the mobile phone due to its most convenient and available tool
unlike other gadgets and they spent the gadgets mostly 10-12 hours a day. Due to the
high usage in terms of hours in using gadgets it is one of the reasons why the students are
experiencing musculoskeletal problem of muscle pains, repetitive strain injury in using
gadgets in repetitive motion, vision problem and headache in glaring too much at screen
and obesity when they sit for a long period of time in using gadgets.
