There are actually many more countries without a mosque than the obvious Vatican
City or unrecognized microstates. Despite not having a mosque, most of these
countries do have Islamic centers where Muslims gather to worship.

Slovakia is probably the most known case of a country without mosques. Its
~5,000 Muslims can gather in its capital’s Cordoba Cultural Center, which
also serves as an unofficial place of worship. The opinion on Islam among the
Slovaks is generally unfavorable: from Prime Minister Robert Fico claiming
that Islam has no place in Slovakia, to the Parliament banning  the
recognition of Islam as an official religion, to its borders only accepting
Christian migrants, it’s not hard to tell Slovakia wants little to do with
Muslims. A bill banning mosques in Slovakia in the same way many Arab
countries ban other religions was rejected  last year—after all, a developed
country should always guarantee freedom of worship.

Estonia’s ~1,500 Muslims don’t have a proper mosque to pray in, but rooms
have been set up in Tallinn’s Turath Islamic Center to serve as a worship
place. Turkey recently offered  to finance the building of Estonia’s first full-
fledged mosque.

San Marino’s Muslim population probably doesn’t reach three digits, but
these can go pray in the nearby Forlì and Ravenna Mosques, located in Italy.

Fellow microstate Monaco has no mosque either, but places of worship for

Muslims can easily be found a few miles outside the border, in France.

Vatican City, for obvious reasons.

Uruguay is home to less than 1,000 Muslims. There are three Islamic centers
in its capital, and the nearest mosque can be found in Chuí, the first Brazilian
city after the border.

The only African country without any reported mosques is São Tomé and
Principe, a former Portuguese colony that’s predominantly Catholic.

There are several other Caribbean and Pacific island states where the Muslims account
for a microscopic slice of the total population, and it’s likely that some of these don’t
have any mosques.

To the contrary of popular belief, North Korea does not only have a few thousand
Muslims, but there’s also a functioning mosque—the Ar-Rahman Mosque hosted by
the Iranian embassy in Pyongyang.

Apart from all the countries mentioned in other answers, there is one other country
that comes to mind which does not host a mosque within its territorial limits and that
is:

(His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck offering prayers at the Hindu
temple Shivlaya Mandir in Samtse on the occasion of Dassain Tikka).

The Bhutanese Constitution of 2008 and previous law provide for freedom of religion
in Bhutan; however, the government has limited non-Buddhist missionary activity,
barring non-Buddhist missionaries from entering the country, limiting construction of
non-Buddhist religious buildings, and restricting the celebration of some non-
Buddhist religious festivals. No new buildings, including new places of worship, can be
constructed without government licenses.[1]

Mahayana Buddhism and Hinduism are national religions as recognized by the

Government. Abrahamic religions have no formal recognition in Bhutan.

It is very difficult not to step into this as many have written factually wrong and
accusing biassed answers on Slovakia. People who have never been to Slovakia, just
recycling what they read on the Internet. If it's on the Internet, it must be true, right?!
Especially when we alter it and cherry-pick.

I have recently learned that in Turkish language, that what in English is just called
“mosque” in Turkish is either a “cami” (big temple) or a “mescit” (smaller prayer hall,
room/house and study place)

Slovakia does not have any “cami” but it has many “mescit” (in Turkish terms) all
around the country.

Slovakia also has very low Muslim population, estimated around 5000 Muslim citizens
in the whole country!

I might also add that Slovak constitution assures freedom of religion. There is no
specific targetting on Muslims as many people claimed. You can fact-check this -
many minor religious group that are as small as Muslim communities in Slovakia -
Buddhists, Hindus, Bahais, etc. which numbers also move around 5000, also dont have
any big temples in the country, but they freely practice their religion in prayer halls
and Houses & religious centres. Jewish population is approximately as big as Muslim
population, however, their Synagogues remain in the country from pre-WW2 period,
where Jews created a lot larger community.

It is also unfair to bash Slovakia for what our former prime-ministed did or said in the
past. That man was forced to resign his chair because Slovak citizens had enough of
his bulls**t and protested. He is a very corrupt and ignorant man. Of course, media
went boom and painted an exaggerrated picture of Slovakia being an islamophobic
country. I can assure you this man is not getting back in power ever again because he
is just sinking deeper and deeper day by day in his own corrupt mud.

In the present day, nor the president, neither the current prime minister would ever
said or done something that is problematic and against our own consitution. The
majority of Slovaks will not have any problems in the future if the first small mosques
will be built in larger cities. But I think big mosques would just be pretty empty, due to
low numbers of practicing Muslims. I fact, there used to be mosques in what is
present-day Slovakia, they just havent been preserved as there were no practicing
Muslims left after the Ottomans left.

ANY religious group has to get past a certain number of practicing believers in order
to register for drawing funds from the state and bulding their temples. There is no
special targetting of the Muslim community. Not registered does not mean banned. It
just means the tiny religious groups do not get to draw state money, build temples
with bells and minarets or interfere in the society and politics. Only the dominant
religious groups can, and there are 18 registered religious groups so far. As soon as
the Muslim community grows in numbers, they can submit for recognition and

evenutally get recognised according to the Slovak constitution. Today, the big
mosques would be empty anyways. Prayer halls all around the country are sufficient
enough for the small numbers of practicing Muslims so far. The same applies for other
tiny religious groups, of course.

There used to be Ottoman mosques on the territory of present-day Slovakia, but they
later fell of no use and they ceased to exist. I got this info from the head of the Islamic
Community in Slovakia himself, he said there used to be once at least 4 mosques in
Nitra region alone.

I get it, my answer is not juicy enough to get upvotes. Only the factually incorrect ones
that portray rather an exciting and controversial picture of this situation, get the most
upvotes.

I’m willing to bet good money that there are no mosques in the Vatican City.

No synagogues or Shinto temples, either. (Or Mormon temples, for that matter.)

Yes. Being a secular country which worships the leader, there are probably no
mosques OR churches, and temples in North Korea. There is however a mosque in the
Iranian embassy in Pyongyang.

In Slovakia, there are no actual mosques, but they have two Islamic centers in the
capital, each with a capacity of around 50 at most when packed.

Iceland does not currently have any mosques, and Uruguay has none. but it does have
3 Islamic centers in its capital. It also has a very small house serving as an islamic
center.

There is a country name slovakia have no any mosques because of Islamophobia.

Read the their history….

In 2010, there were an estimated 5,000 Muslims  in Slovakia  representing fewer

than 0.1% of the country's population.[2]

Most of the Muslims in Slovakia are refugees from former Yugoslavia (Bosnians
and Albanians ) [citation needed ] or workers from modern Turkey (Turks )
[citation needed ]

beside them a few Arab students and migrant workers from South and Southeast Asia.
Most of the Muslims live in the capital Bratislava , smaller communities also exist
in Košice  and Martin  [citation needed ]

Slovakia is the last member state of the European Union without a mosque.[3]

In 2000, a dispute about the building of an Islamic center in Bratislava erupted:

the capital's mayor refused such attempts of the Slovak Islamic Waqfs
Foundation.

In 2015, amidst the European migrant crisis , Slovakia agreed to admit 200

Christian asylum seekers, but refused to accept Muslims under an EU scheme to
share migrants between member states. Slovak Ministry of Interior Affairs explained
this decision by the absence of Muslim places of worship in Slovakia which will
allegedly complicate the refugees' integration in Slovak society. The decision was
criticized by the EU, which doubted the decision's legality, and expressed concern for
its discriminatory nature[4]

On 30 November 2016, Slovakia passed legislation to effectively block Islam from

gaining official status as a religion in the country.[5]

Slovakia is the only country within the European Union without any mosque.[6]

It's very difficult to live in such country and if you would live is very risky. It's because
of majority politicians are the victim of Islamophobia. We/I pray for them to Allah
change their ❤️heart and give them understand about Islam.

The Democratic Republic of North Korea is the only nation in the world that does not
have mosques as they are illegal in the territory of that nation as it is a slave labor
camop, except at the Iranian Embassy, which has a mosque. But it is open only for
foreign citizens who are diplomats in North Korea, not any North Koran citizens.
