Remarks
■ All combinations must be checked for its chemical / physical stability and
biocidal performance
 The efficacy is very much dependent on e.g. pH value and the amine /
surfactant ratio (typically 3 / 1).
■ Amines like Lonzabac® 12 are not compatible with aldehydes (e.g. in perfume)

 Barquat® PQ and Barquat® PQ-2 are non foaming long chain
polymeric quaternary ammonium compounds which have
excellent performance against sessile and planktonic algae and
are also effective clarifiers

The Equinox programme (Equinox Stabilizer 15 + active chlorine source)
improves performance via:
 Broad microbiological control of planktonic bacteria, fungi and yeasts and
exceptional control and inhibition of biofilms.
 Ease of application and control via a simple two pump dosing system and
static T mixer.
 Simple monitoring via DPD or Redox.
 Cost effectiveness compared to both non- oxidising and oxidising
programmes.
 Excellent environmental profile and safety in use.
 Unlike Ammonium Bromide it is not pH dependant.
 Any molar ratio combination greater than 1:1.5 can be used without risk of
problems.
