Simple Present – Verb to be (am, he/she/it - is, we/you/They - are)

I am a teacher. She is a teacher. You are a teacher.

I am not a Spanish teacher. She is not a Spanish teacher. You are not a Spanish teacher.

Usamos o not depois do verbo to be ou do verbo auxiliar.

Am I an English teacher? Is she an English teacher? Are you an English teacher?

Nas perguntas invertemos a ordem na frase. Começamos com o verbo to be ou o verbo auxiliar
e depois colocamos o sujeito (se não temos questions words– who (quem), what (o quê), why
(porquê)...)

Simple Present – other verbs

I teach English. She teaches English.

Só utilizamos verbo auxiliar nas frases negativas e interrogativas.

I do not teach Spanish. You do not teach Spanish. She does not teach Spanish.
