Conservation and Preservation of the Environment

Conservation refers to the responsible management of the environment and its


resources for present and future use. Preservation, on the other hand, is a much stricter
approach where the environment, lands and natural resources are put away, not to be
consumed, but are instead maintained in their original form.

With the continuous incease of our population, the scarcity of our natural resources
also rises. The big challenge is how to provide sustainable resources to the next generations
and the answer to that is conserving and preserving the environment and biodiversity we have
now.

plastics like wrappers, bags, bottles, and others available in your home. Kindly follow the
rubrics given. Just choose one from the following sample crafts as your basis. You may also

‘Puno Para sa Bayan’

More trees have been cut nowadays due to higher demands of paper, furnitures,
lumbers, and other tree products. It has been reported that or country has lost more than half of
our forest trees. Therefore, when we have typhoons reaching our country, a great destruction
of floods and landslides are expected because of our diminished number of trees. Should we
just leave our country in this state? How can we help and save our countrymen?

Task: Plant two (2) tree seedlings in your area, they can be fruit-bearing or nonfruit-bearing
trees of your own choice depending on what is available. Nurture them not just for compliance
for this activity but for showing sincere concern to our environment. Take pictures of yourself
planting your tree seedlings on the first three days and paste them below. Kindly include the
date and a brief description on your plant’s development.
