THE I-RISE BAKERY

Here we go again! Honestly we can hardly believe that May is already staring us in the face, but
you know what they say, time flies when you're having fun!! We hope you all have been having
fun, celebrate life! That's what it's all about, folks--sharing love, sharing joy. Don't follow those
forces that would have you believe otherwise! Love is the only thing that really conquers! Okay!
Wisdom, knowledge, overstanding. Leave doubt out! Alrighty then...
One way we try to share our love is by kneading it into every loaf we make. Take the Honey
Whole Wheat Sunflower Bread, for instance. It's so full of love that it will make ya wanna hug
somebody. And there's nothing like the Carrot-Poppy Seed Bread for Week #2, with those sunny
grated bits of carrot and crunchy blue seeds, it's just got to be shared. Don't miss the Oatmeal
Raisin Bread for Week #3--we'll be having cinnamon toast every day that week. We'll end May
with the hearty Molasses Cracked Wheat, so down-home delicious, it's basically joy made
manifest.
We're really excited about the Specials menu this month for a few reasons, the first being our
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. We've been getting multiple requests for them, we can NEVER eat just
one (usually 3 or 4 before we catch ourselves). Another reason we're excited is that we broke all
previous scone sales records in April, a whole bunch of you finally are getting hep. We make
proper scones, completely by hand so they are light & flaky, not the hockey pucks you see in
most bakeries & coffee shops. The Orange-Currant Scones are truly a delicacy you should check
out for yourself. We're most excited of all, though, for our first tribute to one the raddest men to
ever walk the earth, Papa G's Grandpa. He passed many years ago, but his favorite sweet was
old-fashioned spice cake. Grandma Gigi used to make it from the Betty Crocker box, but we're
keeping it real and completely from scratch. Thanks for 4 decades of guidance Grandpa!!! And
we're keeping the Mega-Omega Granola on the menu again this month, it's just too darn good.
So our theme of the month is sharing. We've got so much more to learn about sharing, how we
share love, how we open up our joy & share our visions with others so that they can truly be a
thing that sustains more than just ourselves. Sincerely. Thankfully, love is always conquering.
Speaking of sharing, tell some friends about us, guys. We could serve a lot more people (as in, yes
we need more customers!). Go ahead, share a slice, spread the love. It's the main ingredient.
PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
