1)Why are the five pillars of Islam important?
Five pillars of Islam are important because each of them is an obligation for
Muslims. It brings benefits either directly or indirectly to each individual who
practices it. Examples like salah (prayer). As a muslims we need to pray five times
a day (at dawn, noon,mid-afternoon,sunset,and after dark) according to a
predetermined time period. Establishing prayers can not only strengthen faith and
but it can also make the body healthy where every muscle we will move while
doing rukuk, sujud, and so on. Second example is zakat (almsgiving). Zakat is an
act of giving a portion of a Muslim’s wealth to those in need throughout their
lifetime. This activity teaches every Muslim to always think of the hardships in the
lives of the poor. Thus, zakat can prevent us from being arrogant towards the
property we have.
2)List out the people who are not obliged to fast and pray. Explain why?
