Flight attendants are in charge of the cabin in an aircraft, and are responsible for the

safety and comfort of the passengers. They spend more time with passengers than any
other airline employee, and try to offer the most personalized service possible to each
and every passenger for the duration of a flight. They also do what they can to make
sure passengers are comfortable during their flights. The role of an air cabin crew
member is to provide excellent customer service to passengers while ensuring their
comfort and safety throughout the flight. I chose this topic because it would be helpful
for me as a flight attendant aspirant. Just like what the speaker is saying in the webinar,
being a flight attendant is not an easy task to do. He stated that in order to be a part of
this kind of profession, you have to focus and must be aware of the responsibilities,
qualifications, requirements and most especially the advantages and disadvantages of
being a flight attendant.

Sir Mike discussed first the pros and cons of being flight attendant, he said there that
pro’s, are you can travel anywhere while working at the same time, high paying salary
especially when you are in a bigger company, travel benefits, medical benefits for you
and for your dependents and then the cons, this job requires away from home, the pay
when first start out is low, overtime due to delay and cancellation of flights and messed
up body clock. Furthermore, he also talked about the type of duties, conduct safety
check before flight, their responsibilities of ensuring the safety, security of an airline
passenger, rules and regulations, training after graduation and requirements like
passports, curriculum vitae and medically fit to fly. What I've learned in this topic is that
first and foremost you must be able to communicate effectively in the English language,
excellent verbal and communication skills and how we can be able to practice and test
our patience dealing with passengers on board.

In this topic, I learnt a lot especially on how to provide exact information, guidance, and
assistance for safety and comfort to passengers on board aircraft. Learning this kind of
topic or information will serve as a guide and help for us to reach our goals on becoming
a successful flight attendant. Additionally, what I’ve liked about this topic is that you can
travel anywhere while working, explore new places and get to meet new cultures
besides what I don't like is sleepless nights, dealing with toxic passengers. The best
thing to gain an understanding of this topic is to be efficient in what you want to pursue
and in advance I can probably enhance and develop my skills with confidence in order
to achieve this kind of environment. Therefore, adopting and learning this kind of
experience would be helpful and beneficial to us students because gaining knowledge
in advance is basically a good challenge, we get to know others' experience and
information so we can be able to learn from them. It will motivate and comfort us to
never give up what we want to obtain in order to achieve and suit up in this kind of
environment.
