Activity 2. See the difference!

Passive transport:
The transfer of a solute from an area of high electrochemical potential on one side of the
cell membrane to a region of lower electrochemical potential on the opposite side is
referred to as passive transport.
Active transport:
Active transport only transfers molecules from a location of greater concentration to a
region of lower concentration, whereas passive transport moves molecules from a region
of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration.
Similarities:
The most resemblance between the two is that both entail the passage of substances via
a membrane. Another thing they have in common is that they both entail dealing with a
concentration gradient.
Activity 3. Be Proud of Me.

Reflection:
1. The transport proteins' function is to safeguard the cell's internal environment
and keep the cell's balance of salts, nutrients, and proteins within a range that
keeps the cell and organism alive.
2. Antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, as well as carotenoids such as beta-
carotene, lycopene, and lutein, help preserve healthy cells from free radical
damage.

Activity 2. What Am I?
Reflections:

The cells will gradually degrade, become unable to perform their duties, and eventually die. In rare
cases, if the cell's DNA blueprint is disrupted, it may result in the formation of cancer cells.

Yes, pinocytosis and phagocytosis are required because without them, the cell will perish if it does
not receive enough nutrients.
