BARANGAY ZAMORA-MELLIZA, CITY PROPER AT THE BARANGAY HALL ON JANUARY 3, 2021 AT 3:00 P.M.

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. with an opening prayer led by Erna Magdaluyo.
ROLL CALL:
The secretary made roll call and the chairman declared the presence of a quorum.
BUSINESS OF THE DAY:
1. The Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) of Barangay Zamora-Melliza conducted an
Action Planning for BARANGAY COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (BCPC) Plan for
Calendar Year 2021. The council discussed the Projects Programs Strategies and Activities of the BCPC
aligning to the programs and activities of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK). After thorough deliberation,
the joint council separately passed and approved the following resolutions:
a. BCPC Resolution No. 1 s. 2021. A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING FOR ADOPTION AND

APPROVAL TO THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY THE BARANGAY COUNCIL FOR THE
PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (BCPC) PLAN FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021 of BARANGAY ZAMORA-
MELLIZA, CITY PROPER, ILOILO CITY. Upon the motion of Kagawad Lilianne Sorioso and duly
seconded by Mr. Yul Jr Villanueva.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no more other business to be taken up. Session was adjourned at 4:30 P.M. Upon the motion
of Mrs. Nerissa Duran and duly seconded by Mrs. Edraly Salvo.

A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY THE BARANGAY COUNCIL

FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (BCPC) PLAN FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021 OF BARANGAY
ZAMORA- MELLIZA , CITY PROPER, ILOILO CITY AND ALL ACTIVITIES EMBODIED THEREAT.
WHEREAS, as the main function of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) is to identify
the problems and its solutions in relation to the Participation, Development, Survival and Protection
of the Children in the barangay;
WHEREAS, the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) formulated the Annual Work and
Financial Plan for C.Y. 2021;

WHEREAS, the BCPC recommend the said plan to the Sangguniang Barangay for adoption and approval;
NOW, THEREFORE upon motion of Kagawad Lilianne Sorioso duly seconded Mr. Yul Jr. Villanueva, be it,
RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to approved the above quoted resolution.

1. The Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) of Barangay Zamora-Melliza plan out
activities for the Nutrition Month Celebration. In coordination with the Barangay Day Care Center the
council will support the culminating activity of the BDCC on July 19, 2019, 10:00 AM at the Barangay
Zamora-Melliza Gym.
2. The BCPC council will have a partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan in celebration of the Linggo ng
Kabataan which will be on July 15-17, 2019. Activities such as Search for Mr. and Ms. SK 2019, Laro ng
Lahi and KK Assembly will be lined up. SK Chairman Lloyd John Abadiano will discussed to the council
the schedule of activities and plan of Action
3. The BCPC will support the BLOOD LETTING activity of the Barangay Council which will be on August 10,
2019. It will be in coordination with the RMN and Philippine Red Cross.

1. The Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) of Barangay Zamora-Melliza will be
discussing important matter on the Barangay Assembly Day. Punong Barangay Peter Abadiano. The
BCPB will be assigned to tackle the importance of Family and Parents in handling minors to avoid cases
of Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) and Children at Risk (CAR). The Barangay Assembly Day is
scheduled in October 30, 2019 at 8:00 AM.
2. The BCPC council plan out activities for the National Children Month on November, 2019. Activities such
as Feeding Program, Parlor Games, Medical Missions and Sports activities are being planned. The said
programs will also in coordination with the Sangguniang Kabataan and the Barangay Council. Funding
will be taken out from the 1% BCPC Funds
3. The BCPC will be conducting a Halloween Party for the Barangay Children on October 31, 2019. Costume
Party, Trick or Treat and Film Showing will the activities lined-up.
