6.5. Laboratories: Maintenance and overall ambiance (10)

Maintenance:
1. Do’s and Don’ts and Safety measures rules are displayed in each laboratory.
2. Well Technical Staff are available for maintenance of Computers and softwares.
3. Servicing of each laboratory is doing regularly.
4. Calibration of the each laboratory is done frequently.

5. Department having internet of 5 Mbps and Wi-Fi is maintained for students and Faculty usage.
6. All necessary PC system regular software like Microsoft office, browser, lab software;
antivirus software etc, is installed and maintained.

Ambiance:

1. Department has Full furnished State of Art laboratories with well equipped equipments
which shall cater to courses as per curriculum requirements.

2. Conditions of chairs/benches are in good condition. Chair with desk are provided for
individual students in Labs.

3. Department has experienced faculty to educate them in all the fields of technical education.

4. All the labs are conducted and evaluated every week. .

5. Labs are equipped with sufficient hardware and licensed software to run program specific
curriculum and off program curriculum.

6. Laboratory manual are distributed to students.

7. Sufficient number of windows is available for ventilation and natural light and every lab has
one exit.
 8. Lighting system is very effective, along with the natural light in every corner of the rooms.

9. Cup-boards are available in each lab for students to place their belongings.

10. Each Lab is equipped with computer, Internet, and such other amenities.

11. Exclusively, for project work, Lab been provided for the students to carry out their mini and
major project work.

6.7. Language lab (10)

Language lab is shared with English department to develop the communication qualities of the
first year students and is utilized by the students of computer Engg. Students for 8 hours/week.
Students are made trained in public speaking, conversation, interviews by using different
software’s, conduct multi-media capabilities, on-line examination etc. Various course material
in the form of CD’s and DVD’s are available to develop the Teaching – Learning process more
efficient of the students.
The acquisition of skills is enabled by the self learning program and the instant feedback
mechanism incorporated in the software. The faculty in the lab does the role of a mentor,
facilitator to enable learning in the most informal but effective manner. For the formal
communication and students with a dream to pursue higher education the study skills set is
implemented which empowers to student to further enhance their language skills for further
continuance of education or for professional purposes.
