Business: Street Cravings (Online Food Delivery Business)
The entrepreneur’s responses during the interview:

1. How did you identify your customers?


Response:
My business came into existence during the lockdown which was
bestowed as a health protocol in our country. Therefore, going outside during
this period of time was not a choice at all. As a result, I identified my
customers through social media.
2. What were your considerations in selecting your customers?
Response:
The business that I created was a food delivery business. Before I
launched this business, I considered that since it was during the lockdown
period, people needed food to be delivered to their homes and that was how
I selected my customers.
3. Explain how your product or service became unique from other products.
Response:
I made my business distinct from the others by creating branding
even for a small food business. I formulated a fresh and appealing look to the
online food store. With this uniqueness, I attracted more customers towards
my business.
4. Did you consult somebody before you engage in this business? Give
sample insights that you gain from the consultation.
Response:
Yes, a friend of mine which was an experienced entrepreneur gave
advices on how to improve the quality of our foods and how to effectively
prepare them.
5. What were your preparations before you started the actual business?
Response:
Once I decided to launch my business, I only performed a few things
as a preparation before the actual business. These were first I took pictures
of the products and created a social media page in order to post my products
and reach my target customers.
6. What creative and innovate techniques did you adapt in developing your
product/service? What was the effects of the innovative techniques to the
sales and profit of your business?
Response:
Since my business took place during the lockdown, I adapted a
technique which I considered as an innovated technique that I performed was
the utilization of page and business functionality of social media apps like
Facebook. As an effect towards the use of this innovative technique was for
example, using Facebook ads really improved the reach of the product. There
is also a function of who to show the ads to in terms of demographics and
location of the preferred market. In accordance with this, I had reached and
sold more than what I usually had in my business; therefore, I had profited
more than our last sales.
7. What strategy did you consider to create a unique selling proposition to
your product or service?
Response:
During the lockdown period there are lots of other online business
like mine. However, we considered creating a unique selling proposition. This
was which I thought of doing combos on my about to sell meals that really
improved our sales.
