Based on the discussion of Lesson 2 – The Philippine Economy, what part did you enjoy the most?
What are your learnings? Also, is there anything in the lesson that you could apply or use in your
life?
 Based on the module that I have read I enjoyed the part of the history of the Philippine
economic growth wherein we can see the development of our economy, people were no
longer nomadic because they learned primitive agriculture and handicrafts and it also
introduced the barter system and as of today we have experienced it because of the
pandemic. The lesson that I could apply or use in my everyday life is to be resourceful,
now that we have an economic problem for example last year we’ve experienced a sudden
decrease in the supply of pork because of the ASF the best way to solve this problem is to
make an alternative solution that can also give the same amount of nutrient that the pork
could give. We can’t avoid scarcity because it is the number one problem in every country
so the best way that we can do is to be skilled at devising a way to survive.

Activity #3 Answer the following question in the answer sheet provided. State your point and
reason in not less than five (5) sentences. How can the Filipino Culture and Values help in
building a business?

 We all know that every Filipino is well determined, resourceful, hardworking and we have this
attitude of “pakikipagsapalaran” and brave enough to try everything to become a successful
entrepreneur. Filipino culture and values become our strength in starting up a business. We do
not mind if we only have a small amount of money to run a business, what important the most
is the determination to reach our goal.

Based on the discussion of Lesson 3 – Philippine Culture, Entrepreneurship, and Development,
what part did you enjoy the most? What are your learnings? Also, is there anything in the lesson
that you could apply or use in your life?
 In this lesson I enjoyed the most is showing off what attitudes does the Filipino has in
starting up a business and most of the successful Filipino entrepreneurs have these
excellent traits and values. Value-oriented Filipinos are same on being hospitable,
respectful, showing empathy, and through these values, it is an advantage on how a
Filipino run a business as long as we have the willingness, capacity, and creativeness and
I could apply this lesson for my future since I’m planning to have a small business and I
know this will help me a lot to develop my skills and how I’m a going to build a good
relationship with other people.
