In early tourism has two form the Travel for Business and
Travel for Religious

TRAVEL FOR BUSINESS


In early century they travel extensively to trade with
different country. In Greek they trade wine and olive to the
other country which is Egypt. In early century the wagons,
carriages, and carts all were in use, whether for purposes of
carrying people and goods.

TRAVEL FOR RELIGIOUS REASONS

People travel for religious is to worship, there are also


reasons why travelers want to undertake this form of
tourism. The carriage used for their transporting.
TOURISM IN THE MEDIEVAL PERIOD

During medieval period the travel was declined because of


many thieves around the road, so no one dared to travel
alone. The crusaders and pilgrims were the only ones who
travelled safe.

ELIZABETHAN ERAS
This era builds a renowned university to develop the travel
education, was introduced by the British. The 16th century
the travel education became popular. As early as 1670
educational, appeal became social.

REVOLUTION

Industrial revolution brought a major change to the tourism.


The productivity increase because of technology and
changes the social that made the travel desirable as a
recreational activity. This era creates of working class resort
and it also create jobs to the people.
TOURISM IN THE 19TH CENTURY

In 19th century they have two technological developments


the introduction of the railway and the development of steam
power. Railways provide reliable and cheap transportations
and more competitions as various private companies heavily
invested hotels, resorts, and entrainment facilities. The steam
power increased the mobility needed by the tourism
business.

TOURISM IN THE 20TH CENTURY

In 20th century the travel continued to expand and when you


travel from another country you can go there easily. The
travelers also can switch to the use of private cars or
airplanes. In 20th century strengthened the tourist attractions
to appeal new markets in the Philippines, Singapore,
Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY IN EARLY DAYS

In ancient time people felt requirement of hospitality because


they believe that hospitality t strangers were necessary to
their religious well-being. They travelled in another religion
to intermingled with the ideas they also visit holy places, like
oracles and temple that had a dominant position in their
relation.

MEDIEVAL PRIOD

In Medieval Period their bars are private home, most


people who travels is the English people. If you are
noble person you stay in the monasteries.

RENAISSANCE PERIOD

In 1788 Hotel de Henry was the first hotel build, the build at
as cost of $17,500. There were 60 beds. The inns and taverns
are in high demand, only rich people can afford to go there.

THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY


In 18th century coffee houses became popular in Europe and
were incorporated in many of the inns. This period
developed eating and sleeping places, in New York and New
England started to appear the taverns because most people
go there.

THE FRENCH REVOLUTION

In this period, they change the course of culinary history.


Escoffier brought the brigade system to produce specific
parts of menu. This revolution caused some of the chefs to
come to the new world. More innovation in the 19th century
such as the custom of dining out and better methods of
preserving through canning and vacuum packing.

TWENTIETH CENTURY RESTUARANTS

In the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, flames at the table and other
forms of tableside food preparation were increasingly
popular. "Just as your Flaming Sword Dinner is about to be
served, the Rajah (that's my assistant) and I dim the house
lights and approach your table, sword in hand aflame with
select pieces of lamb, beef tenderloin, or chicken," wrote the
operator of the Bubble Bar in Akron, Ohio, in 1952.

TWENTIETH CENTURY
