b. Review of safety items such as weather concern, plant activity, escape routes.

Contingency plan, location of fire-fighting and personal safety equipment etc.

NOTE:- weather forecasts will be obtained prior to the lift, if the forecasts in

conjunction with the actual wind speed readings taken on the crane wind speed

indicators do not give sufficient window of suitable weather then the test/ lift

programmed will be re-assessed

c. Designate key personnel, such as signalman, tagline handlers etc.

d. Complete and sign off all appropriate checklist and safety permits

g. Discuss and give due consideration to any additional appropriate steps that any

participant feels it necessary to perform a safe and timely operation.

h. All the certificates and or supporting calculation for the lifting equipment will be

available prior to any lifting operations taking place; It has been assumed that

access to the lifting points will be gained via ladders. Or suitable access supplied

by client if the lifting points are high, tag line will be attached to the items.

6.6 The lifting tackles will be attached as per the drawings.

6.7 Trail lift without load shall be done carefully prior to actual operation. Skid is to be installed in
between compressor house & Pipe rack.

6.8 Under the instruction of supervisor, the crane will hoist up until it takes approximately

10% of the lift weight. The supervisor will check the alignment of the Hoist wires and

give instruction to correct and relocate the lifting tackles if necessary.

6.9 After the load is off the ground, slowly hoist up the crane with load to required height.

6.10 Small adjustments are made for boom up/down wire up/down for alignment purpose.

6.11 Now, slowly lower the Skid to rest on top of desired platform as shown on the drawing.

6.12 As lifting tackle becomes slack, the crane will top lowering. Riggers will then access

the lifting points and release the lifting tackles.
