Area of Investigation The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health (MH) of young adults
(ages 18-24) is little understood, despite the fact that the symptoms and negative
effects of the pandemic have been thoroughly reported. The goal of this study is to
document changes in the mental health as a result of the pandemic . The study's
scope is limited to recruiting 10 volunteers aged 18 to 24, who will be contacted via a
Google Form. Each study participant will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire
in order to assess any changes in their lives.
Reasons for Choice of Topic I also had a lot of struggles and my anxiety developed during this pandemic, this
research topic is really close to my heart. I’ve been also a good listener to my friends
who are undergoing struggles too because of the uncertainties, fear and problems in
maintining financial stability that the pandemic gives us. It really matters to me.
Importance of the Study The study will be relevant to people who want to know how to deal with this
problems using the data we will gather. The Philippines isn’t really open to mental
health discussions compared to other issues this and raising awareness about this is
also important.
