Proposed Title “The impact of COVID-19 in the mental health of employed individuals”
Area of Investigation The uncertainty of the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak on employees' mental health,
specifically psychological distress and depression, is examined in this research. Its goal is
to identify the main stressors during and after COVID-19, investigate the main
moderating factors that may mitigate or exacerbate COVID-19's impact on employees'
mental health, and finally, make recommendations from a human resource management
perspective to mitigate COVID-19's impact on employees' mental health. The study's
scope is limited to recruiting 10 volunteers who will be contacted via a
Google Form. Each study participant will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire
in order to assess any changes in their lives.
Reasons for Choice of Topic As a working student, this research means a lot to me. The data that I will gather will
rely on my workmates who have been open about their mental health struggles with
me.
Importance of the Study The study will know how the pandemic affects our people who are employed, since
what’s happening is very uncertain, we also need to check on those people who are
working hard to provide means for their families. The research would be helpful for
those who might need the data we will gather.
