Hello, our beautiful, wonderful, and lovely students! Welcome to the first
day of this five-day project combining Political Science and Mathematics.
This is led by no other than YOU! Follow the document from top to
bottom and make sure to engage with the embedded links. We cannot
wait to see what you all have to give! Work together and have fun
exploring!

Day 1 Instruction

Warm-Up: Brainstorm

Think about these questions in the image above. Post

your response to the first question to this Padlet and
the response to the second question to this Padlet. In
addition, you must interact with your peers to learn
and share as much as you can. Each student should
have at least one response per Padlet as well as two
interactions with different peers.

1. Create a copy of this Interactive Notebook
individually and utilize it throughout the entire
project as a diary of your thoughts, questions,
and notes! There is one page for each day in
this project. Here, you can write any questions,
thoughts, opinions, notes in the Questions and
Notes Sections.

Share the document with your other

groupmates, you are free to collaborate and
comment on each other’s thoughts!

think about how domains and ranges may be applied

Step 3: Jamboard
3. Join this Jamboard and provide responses
related to the prompt. Look at other responses
and add notes to your Interactive Notebook.

Reflect
In your Interactive Notebooks, go to the Summary Section
and reflect and summarize your findings from day 1. This
could be new things you’ve learned, connections, personal

Last Step
Find our Instagram account: @matXpos and get yourself
familiar with the platform and our profile. You will utilize
this platform for the remainder of the project!

After scrolling through Day 1 on Instagram and getting to

know your Presidents, in your groups, send a direct
message to Instagram introducing the President you’re
interested in and why. You should have 3 choices of
Presidents ranked from 1-3, 1 being your first pick and 3rd
being your last. This is your “post” required from Day 1.
