Time Activity
9:46-9:50 Housekeeping & Attendance
9:50-10:00 Explanation of Station Activity
- For this lesson, we will be going to the Learning Commons
tables, and rotating through a number of stations. In the
classroom, explain the expectations for each of the
stations, and hand out the booklets that students will be
completing as they work through each of the stations.
- Students will leave their backpacks in the classroom and
only bring a writing utensil, their phone (for a digital
activity), and the station activity booklet
10:00-10:10 First Station
- Students will work through the responsibilities in their first
station. The first station is determined by their group
number
10:10-10:20 Students will transition into their next station
- Students will visit stations in ascending order (station 1 to
station 2, etc.)
10:20-10:30 Students will transition to their third station
10:30-10:40 Students will transition to their fourth station
10:40-10:50 Students will transition to their fifth, and final station
- At 10:50, students will collect whatever materials are at
their station, and bring them back to the classroom with
them
10:50-10:58 Concluding Questions
- At each of the stations, there will be a large sticky note. It
will be the responsibility of each group to pose one
question when they are at the station. At the end of the
class, some of these questions will be answered as a class.
- Students will hand in these booklets for formative
assessment
