1. Summarize the SONA of the President

President Digong said he would do everything to eradicate the drug problem, but he was clear that users
and drug addicts were victims. The drug rehabilitation centers we demand in every district will come
true.
"Those who destroy my country, I will kill you."Still about the "war on drugs," Duterte said that he
would "kill" anyone who destroys his country. "Those who destroy my country, I will kill you. And
those who destroy the young people of our country, I will kill you. We can do the legal way but it will
take you months or years." He also challenged that the ICC can record what he just said.
Digong stated that he wants the unemployed in the provinces to become entrepreneurs.
Simplified transaction - Government -issued IDs will be valid from five (5) to ten (10) years. He wants
to expedite the processing of government transactions: only three (3) days, as in Davao city.
Healing - Digong no longer wants to open the wounds of the past so that we can focus on change. He
called for a unilateral ceasefire with the Communist Party of the Philippines or the CPP-NPA. He
pleaded with our Muslim brothers to trust the government again.
"If you see them walking around, kindly shoot them dead."Duterte asked the Congress and Senator Bato
dela Rosa to look into the issue on the illegal importation of AK-47 through rebels and the communist
party as he claimed. The chief executive ordered, "Maraming sundalong namatay dahil sa armas na
pinasok nila dito sa Pilipinas. My orders today, if you see them [communists] walking around, kindly
shoot them dead. I will be happy. Anyway, you will be only charged in the International Criminal Court
(ICC) with me."

implements the change to federalism, he will resign.

The president said that "there is no way of telling when this virus would disappear. We can only pray to
God to look in our direction and decide on what will happen to the planet he created."

a. Are you satisfied of the achievements of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte? Explain your answer.
- Yes, because he kept his promise, starting his campaign against drugs, and then the Build, Build,
Build infrastructure projects, fighting corruption and communism. Even though his other project
is not finished, I am impressed with him that even though it is very difficult to fight the virus that
is spreading now, he is still slowly finishing his project.
b. Basing from the achievements, what set apart our president from previous presidents before him?
- The integrity to fulfill all his promises and claims for our country, for give honor to the fallen 44
soldiers, the courage to eliminate the drug traffickers in our country.

2. List at least 10 Cultural Property

a. Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park (ASEAN Heritage Park, 2015)

Tubbataha is every diver's heaven. It is, after all, right
smack in the center of the Coral Triangle, the global
center of marine biodiversity. Housed in almost 100,000
hectares of the reef ecosystem are over 350 species of
coral, almost 500 species of fish, and various kinds of
whales, dolphins, sharks, and turtles. It also protects one
of the few remaining colonies of breeding seabirds. It
was the first-ever national marine park to be declared in
the country after it was established in 1988.

a. Mount Timpoong-Hibok-Hibok Natural Monument (ASEAN Heritage Park, 2015) Camiguin's

interesting terrain was caused by volcanoes. That's the reason
it's called the "Island Born of Fire." The island's only current
active volcano, Mount Hibok-Hibok, is part of the stretch of
mountain ranges forming the Mount Timpoong-Hibok-Hibok
Natural Monument. The more than 2,000-hectare area also
includes Mount Mambajao, which has Mount Timpoon as its
highest peak, and Mount Catarman.
b. Paoay Church and other Baroque Churches (UNESCO World Heritage Site, 1993)
The four Baroque churches in the country, namely: San Agustin
Church in Manila, Paoay Church in Ilocos Norte, Santa Maria
Church in Ilocos Sur, and Miag-ao Church in Iloilo, were all built
between the 16th and 18th Centuries. These represent the unique
fusion of European church design with the use of locally sourced
materials which later influenced the country's church-building
tradition. The intelligent architecture of the structures also proved
to be formidable after having survived pirate attacks, local
revolts, fire incidents, and natural calamities.

c. Mount Apo Natural Park (ASEAN Heritage Park, 1992)

Mount Apo, the country's highest mountain, stands
at 3,143.6 meters above sea level. Its base is so large it's
even bigger than the whole island of Singapore. Its upper
slopes appear to be covered with snow, which is actually just
sulfur expelled after its last eruption in 1640.

d. Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras (UNESCO World Heritage Site, 1995)

The Ifugaos are probably the best engineers in the world and the rice
terraces located in the remote areas of Cordillera Mountain range prove
this. These unique fields highlight the innovation of the early Filipinos who
have lived as far back as two millennia. All carved by hand, the terraces
mimic the structure of stairs to maximize the otherwise steep slopes and
develop an intricate irrigation system—harvesting water from the forests in
the mountain tops and into the cascading rice fields. The rice terraces, often
mistakenly called hagdan-hagdang palayan, are locally known
as  payao or payaw.

e. Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park (ASEAN Heritage

Park, 2009)
Most of us know of the tanglad (lemon grass). It not only
makes our food taste good but also smell good. Legend has it
that the tanglad was the only thing visible on top of Mount
Kitanglad when the entire province of Bukidnon was
submerged in flood, thus the name. Now, it's a protected area
that serves as a nesting place for the Philippine eagle and
natural habitat for several endemic mammals such as the Philippine flying lemur and Philippine
tarsier. The whole mountain range has about a dozen peaks.

f. Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary (UNESCO World Heritage Site, 2014)
Have you ever seen a bleeding-heart dove? Believe it or not,
this hugot-filled bird can be found in the Philippines,
specifically in Mount Hamiguitan. Found in Davao Oriental, it
is home to a number of threatened flora and fauna, eight of
which are found only in that mountain range. These include the
Philippine eagle, Philippine cockatoo, Philippine warty pig,
Philippine pygmy fruit bat, and a lot of other interesting
species. It is also the only known habitat of the pitcher plant.

g. Mount Makiling Nature Reserve (ASEAN Heritage Park, 2013)

A dormant volcano in Laguna, Mount Makiling is believed to be riddled with
mysteries. Who doesn't know of the tales of its mystical dweller and protector,
Maria Makiling? Even the ridges of the mountain are said to be similar to the
shape of the sleeping diwata. The Makiling Forest Reserve was established in
1910, and then declared as a National Botanic Garden in 1920. Its management
was transferred from one agency to another until it was returned to the
University of the Philippines Los Baños-College of Forestry and Natural
Resources in the late 1980s. It hosts the Makiling Botanical Garden, the
National Arts Center, and the Makiling-Banahaw Geothermal Plant on its
slopes.

h. The Historic Town of Vigan (UNESCO World Heritage Site, 1999)

One would always remember heritage houses, cobblestone streets, and horse-
drawn carriages when talking about the historic town of Vigan in Ilocos Sur.
It is the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia.
Adding to its claim-to-fame is its inclusion in the New7Wonders Cities list
along with Beirut (Lebanon), Doha (Qatar), Durban (South Africa), Havana
(Cuba), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and La Paz (Bolivia).

i. Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (UNESCO

World Heritage Site, 1999)
The world's longest underground river can be found in our own
backyard, in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Aside from eye-catching
rock formations and limestone walls, the complex cave system's
unique feature is that it emerges directly into the sea. This allows
the bottom part of the water to be influenced by tides, a rare
natural phenomenon. It also houses the Palawan Moist Forest which, according to the World Wide
Fund for Nature, is the largest and most valuable limestone forest in Asia.

3. List at least 3 delicacies/native food for each 3 continents of the Philippines.

 Luzon

1. Igado
The name of this dish is derived from the Spanish word for "liver." You can
probably guess why-Igado is made with a mix of pork tenderloin and pork
liver! Remember to clean the innards thoroughly before cooking this stew.

2. Dinakdakan
Dig into this luscious Ilocano favorite and all its glory: pig ears, pig face, and
pig brain in a quick saute with fresh vegetables brings this dish together.

3. Sisig
Pork sisig is the ultimate Filipino bar chow. Whip it up with a mix of pork belly,
pork face, and pork ears for a savory, tasty treat. Level it up with a sizzling plate
and an egg!
 Visayas

1. Humba
Humba is popularly known as the Visayas region's version
of adobo. Enjoy this sour and slightly sweet flavor
combination with lots of steamed rice!

2. Pocherong Bisaya
The light lemongrass-infused broth of Visayan pochero is both hearty and
comforting. Use the freshest produce possible to make this dish shine.

3. La Paz Batchoy
The ultimate Filipino noodle soup is a favorite for a reason. Dig into firm egg
noodles that swim in a slow-cooked broth with lots of flavorful toppings: crunchy
garlic, chicharon bits, green onions, and lots of pork!
 Mindanao

1. Beef in Coconut Milk (Beef Kulma) Recipe

This Tausug beef stew recipe is hearty, delicious, and Filipino.

This dish from Mindanao is a beef stew that's unlike anything that you
might have tasted before. This is because of the ingredients added in that
make it tastes totally appetizing and fantastic.

2. Chicken Pyanggang (Chicken in Blackened Coconut Curry) Recipe

One of the most striking recipes in Mindanao cuisine was the burnt coconut, this technique of
cooking the coconut which burns it into a charcoal black to
make some sort of flavoring agent for some dishes. It's
called pamapa itum.

3. Durian
Durian has become almost synonymous with Davao City
because of its abundance, and because of its scarcity in
other parts of the Philippines, many have sought after this
exotic fruit. Durian is widely known as the “King of
Fruits”, and is abundant in Davao. Davao's rich fertile
volcanic soil and climate make it most suitable for
sustained production of the freshest and tastiest Durian.
Since the fruits are locally produced, the prices are
comparably much cheaper than anywhere in the country.
4. What are your favorite OPM? Why do you think they are not as popular as the K-
pop or the foreign songs that are always trending? What can we do to make the opm
be more popular?
- My favorite OPM are 214, A Smile in your Heart, Forevermore, Ikaw, I’ll Be There (For You),
Your Love, Stay, Closer You and I, Ikaw, Ikaw at Ako, Wedding Song …….
- OPM are not popular as the KPOP, because K-pop has expensive production, from the
extravagant set for the flashy music videos, to production of millions of albums for their
international audiences, while OPM has less expensive production. K-pop is
internationally popular while OPM is only locally popular.
- We should not be dazzled by celebrities who are not ours. Like OPM we must choose,
appreciate, support and admire it. OPM is easier to understand because it is from our country.
OPM is special to us Filipinos because everyone can relate to it like broken hearted, in love, with
an enemy, or just trigger a memory.

5. In the Philippines, I believe that we have the potential to win more gold medals or
any medals not just in the Olympics but on other international events. Due to lack of
action and support from our government, our athletes are not reaching their
potential or not given equal opportunities to shine. What must local and national
government do more to help aside from the actions done by the Duterte government
in creating the new clarcity sports hub, national academy of sports and etc.?
- I think our government should give more benefits to our athlete’s despite of every result of their
competition. Encouraging them to bring home the bacon and push through by giving them
rewards in exchange of representing our country. Our government should also give support to
them while practicing and give them all their needs.

6. Craft a sample program/law/idea/etc. that will uphold/strengthen the sense of

patriotism/nationalism of the youth of our nation.
- Pag gawa ng page kung saan ipinapakita ang ganda ng mga produkto ng bansa at binebente sa
tamang halaga
