Sir / Madam,
In the light of lockdown for containment of COVID 19’ virus, hereby providing
Minor Project guidelines applicable for 2019 Batch.

Recommendations for Bachelor of Business Administration – Mahatma Gandhi


University – Minor Project for 2019 Admissions students

In the context of nationwide COVID 19 pandemic, Minor project for S3 BBA students
cannot be conducted as envisaged in the BBA Syllabus 2017. The following guidelines
are prepared for the completion of minor project as per the schedule in our Syllabus.

1. Candidates are permitted to do their minor project by using online resources.


2. The data pertaining to Company Profile, Company’s products, Customers,
Competitors, Collaborations, CSR activities, Export / Import, Financial data,
Industry Analysis, Strategies adopted by the company, Future Expansion plans
etc. may be collected by the students. Students can visit the website of any major
company and collect secondary data.
3. Be ensured that no two groups from an affiliated college do their work on the same
company.
4. All work has to be conducted strictly in consultation with the allotted Faculty Guide
5. The Report of minor project shall have a separate chapter called ‘Discussion’. This
may include a very objective assessment of the company and industry (for instance
whether the company chosen for the study fare in the industry, what are the
competitive advantages for the company etc.) based on the facts collected by the
students. This will be purely the students’ contribution and due weightage should be
given for this chapter during the evaluation process.
6. Students are not likely to get certificates from the companies for minor project.
Therefore, the Head of the Department may issue a Certificate of Completion of minor
project, duly signed by the Faculty Guide, and the same can be attached to the minor
project Report.
Based on the above guidelines, the following format may be used for minor project

GUIDELINES FOR REPORT SUBMISSION AND EVALUATION


• The candidates shall submit periodic working reports through e-mail to the
Faculty Guide in the Institution and External Guide, if any in the Industry / Organisation.
Periodic reviews and discussions are compulsory
• The Minor Project Report shall be typed in “Cambria” font by using 12 font size
with 1.5 spacing. All chapter headings shall be in font size 14 in bold. All main
headings shall be in font size 12 in bold and all sub-headings are to be in 12 font
size. The cover page of the Report shall be in white with colour / black & white
printing with college emblem.
• The candidates are required to submit a soft copy of draft report of Minor Project
to the Faculty Guide before the cut-off date. Faculty Guides, after corrections and
suggested changes, shall direct the candidates to submit the Report in the prescribed
format as a PDF File. The Head of the Department shall verify all Reports submitted by
registered candidates. Students are also required to take hard copy of the Minor Project
Report with Project completion certificates from the College. The hard copy of the
Report has to be signed by the Faculty Guide & Head of the Department.
• The evaluation of the Minor Project Report shall be based on the criteria given in
the evaluation format.
