1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a Procedure to effectively use of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).

2.0 SCOPE:

This SOP is applicable for the 50 KLD Effluent Treatment Plant at ………………….

6.1 Starting Procedure.

6.1.1 Switch “ON” the Air Blower.

6.1.2 Add 05 Kg Lime once time, in Lime chemical dosing tank.

6.1.3 Mix Lime about15 minutes in Lime chemical dosing tank with raw water 200 Ltrs by a hand
stirrer. .
6.1.4 Add 05 Kg potash Alum once time in to the Alum chemical dosing tank and mix with 200 Ltrs
raw water.
6.1.5 Add 50 gm Polyelectrolyte once time into polyelectrolyte chemical dosing tank and mix 100
Ltrs. raw water.
6.1.6 All chemical dosing depend upon the effluent pH and effluent quantity. Initially chemical
Preparation 0f 5000 Ltrs effluent
6.1.7 Switch ‘ON’ the effluent transfer pump
6.1.8 Open the valves of chemical dosing tanks.
6.1.9 Allow to transfer the effluent through chemical reactor (Reaction Chamber, Flocculation
Chamber), Primary tube settler. Sludge is passed through sludge drying bed-1& 2 and collected
into sludge storage tank.
6.1.10 Allow to transfer the effluent Bio Reactors I & II from tube settler I
6.1.11 Allow to transfer the effluent tube settler I from Bio reactor II.
6.1.12 Allow to transfer the effluent filter feed tank with sodium hypochlorite dosing.
6.1.13 Allow to settle the effluent about 45 minutes in filter feed tank and switch on the Filter feed
pump it is passed through dual media filter and active carbon filter and micron housing filters

6.1.14 Take the sample and send to the QC department and received the report.

6.1.15 Allow to go the effluent to clear water Re-use in gardening.

6.1.16 Check the clear water pH is 7.5.

6.2 Stopping Procedure

6.2.1 If effluent is not found in full quantity the process should be stop.
