schedule with appropriate milestones and quality deliverables must be defined

 A scope, cost/margin and schedule (inc. delivery milestone dates) POR
baseline in the gold source tools (E3T etc) and Presage. This will be in place by
end of Project Startup for ALL project delivery work regardless of size. The baseline
documentation will include the appropriate estimating model (NOT just a cost

 Startup must be completed within 6 – 8 weeks of the date you are assigned
as PM and recorded on the start-up checklist where applicable (Demonstrate)

reporting, cost forecast (ie a resource forecast – labour and non-labour driven from
plans/schedules) in appropriate tools and Presage
 Managed Risks, Issues and assumptions documented in the standard tools.
All clearly identified, sensibly managed, and not impractically high $ values. Risk
and contingency budget included in project finances/forecasts and only called off
via change request. Escalations in place where risk/issues are out of the control of
the PM. (Demonstrate)
 Accurate and honest reporting of delivery progress, risks, issues (inc. ‘Go to
Green’ actions), delivery & payment milestones, earned value (SPI/CPI),
costs/revenue (actual and forecasts) and timely escalations weekly/monthly at
least. Expectation is that Red will be reported accurately and bought back to
amber/green within 30 days (Demonstrate)
 Quality Metrics capture within the Project Management tools (WPR and

 Lessons Learned captured prior to closedown (Demonstrate)

 Any issue that has happened is almost certainly not resolvable without
changing budget, critical path delivery dates or scope of delivery. This is a change

accepted unplanned change
 All projects will document and obtain PgM or ADL approval for a clear ‘walk’
from the previous baseline to current in the event of approved change, giving an
overall walk from original ‘Point of sale’ baseline to current
 Changes documented in the Project tools and status reporting (Demonstrate)
 PM’s will ensure any work without commercial cover (‘at risk’) is agreed by
their ADL. Proactive management of customer and/or DXC stakeholders is
expected to ensure commercial cover in place at all times (Demonstrate)
 Projects will be managed in accordance with EDGE or the respective Account
QMS (demonstrated by passing startup quality audits, carrying out appropriate
gating and reviews). Capture evidence of audits taking place and progress on
correcting Non-compliances within 60 days
 Ensure Presage data quality maintained at 95% month on month
 First level university degree or seven years experience in project
management or similar role
 Professional project management training or certification ie PMP certified
 Willing and able to achieve UK BCSS security clearance
 Energetic, highly motivated, self-starter
 Copes well with stressful situations and has a positive approach to
overcoming obstacles
 Strong communication and negotiation skills, credible in front of senior client
executives
 Assertive, confident and outgoing personality
 Able to lead and motivate teams of high calibre individuals in a matrix
organisation
 Maintains balance between productivity, cost and quality
 Meticulous attention to detail, particularly with regard to project financial
management
 Recent SAP project delivery experience essential
 A broad knowledge of IT systems and software, preferably including networks,
servers, clients, MES, MOM, PLCs DNC machine tools, ERP, PLM
 Experience of managing projects in an industrial manufacturing environment
