Beanie  with  cables  

Materials  
60  g  Ullcentrum’s  3-­‐ply  wool  yarn  
Circular  needle  size  3.5  mm,  40  cm/US  4  
Marker  

Pattern  
The  beanie  is  worked  in  the  round  
 
Cast  on  112  st          
Work  k2,  p2  rib  for  6  cm    
Start  pattern:          
*p12,  k4*,  repeat  *-­‐*  until  end  of  round    
On  every  8th  row,  work  a  cable  across  the  4  knitted  stitches:  
Put  2  st  on  the  marker,  k2,  put  the  2  st  from  the  marker  back  on  the  left  needle,  k2  
Continue  with  this  pattern  for  14  cm  (preferably  until  the  5th  cable)  
Start  decreases:  
k2tog  on  ea  side  of  the  cable  =  14  decreases  on  the  round  
Continue  to  decrease  on  every  second  round  until  14  st  remain  
Break  the  yarn  and  pull  it  through  the  remaining  st  
Weave  in  all  loose  ends  
 
Put  the  beanie  in  hot  water  and  felt  a  bit  to  make  it  nice  and  soft
