IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN JOLLIBEE FAST FOOD CHAIN
INTRODUCTION
My biggest concern on Jollibee Foods Corporation is that the COVID-19
situation exacerbates things for Smashburger and CBTL and pushes back their break-even periods versus what management internally expects. Jollibee Food Corporation had a problem regarding their chicken, the taste is still the same, the quality is still the same, therefore there is a lot of consumer demanded their CHICKENJOY product,g unfortunately they had shortage in their popular product. The income of the jollibee dicreases when pandemic came.
BACKGROUND STUDY
Jollibee Foods Corporation widely known as Jollibee is a fast-food
restaurant chain based in the Philippines. Founded by Tony Tan Caktiong, a Filipino Chinese in year 1975. It is an American-style fast-food restaurant with Filipino-influenced dishes specializing in burgers, spaghetti, chicken and some local Filipino dishes. Currently it is the biggest fast-food chain in the country, it also has locations in the United States, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Indonesia, Dubai and Brunei. Jollibee is also the name of their mascot, a large bee in a blazer, shirt and chef's hat. As of December 2007, Jollibee has become one of the biggest fast-food chains in the world with more than 600 stores worldwide and total sales of more than $1 billion, where out of that figure about 500 restaurants are located in the Philippines itself.
Jollibee is so well-loved every time a new store opens, especially
overseas, Filipinos always form long lines to the store. It is more than home for them. It is a stronghold of heritage and monument of Filipino pride. It was tried and tested giving a formula of delivering greattasting food, adherence to world class operating standards and the universal appeal of the family values the brand represents that are driving the expansion of Jollibee both locally and in the overseas market.
Jollibee is the largest fast-food chain brand in the Philippines,
operating a network of more than 1,400 stores. A dominant market leader in the Philippines, Jollibee enjoys the lion's share of the local market that is more than all the other multinational fastfood brands in PH combined. With a strict adherence to the highest standards of food quality, service and cleanliness, Jollibee serve great-tasting, high-quality and affordable food products to include its superior-tasting Chickenjoy, mouth-watering Yumburger and deliciously satisfying Jolly Spaghetti among other delicious products.
