Biology Project for Class IX (2021-22)

You may choose ANY ONE of the following topics-

I. Cell Organelles
a) What are the differences between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cell? Draw labelled
diagrams for both cell types.
b) What are the differences between plant cell and animal cell? Draw labelled diagrams for
both cell types.
c) Describe the various cell organelles in detail and draw the diagrams for them.
II. Tissues
a) What are the different types of plant tissues? Describe in detail and draw labelled
diagrams.
b) What are the different types of animal tissues? Describe in detail and draw labelled
diagrams.

Instructions

1. Use a practical copy for the project work.

2. Students are encouraged to go beyond the prescribed textbook and refer the content online.
Resources like Wikipedia and google image search may be used. Make your project a
reflection of your creativity and effort.
3. Please don’t copy each other’s project work.
4. Write your answers in detail in the ruled side of the practical copy only using black ink.
5. Give suitable headings and subheadings for your answers.
6. In the white side of the practical copy draw using pencil. You may shade or colour your
diagrams.
7. For questions about “difference between” make comparative table. Write the differences
point-wise.
8. Don’t stick printout photos for diagrams.
9. Avoid the use of whiteners or glitter pens
10. Wrap the project copy with brown sheet.
11. In the last page include a bibliography (cite the various sources you referred to make your
project).
12. Project copy that will be submitted incomplete, improper or beyond the last date of
submission are liable to be rejected.
