    Classroom Design Rationale


    My classroom rationale will consist of the classroom itself being cozy and fun. This classroom will be a place where children can be themselves and have the drive to come

    to class to learn.In my classroom i will have about 20-30 students in fourth grade. When entering the classroom there will be a trash can by the entrance when a student or

    another teacher walks in. It is placed there for any bad odors that come from the trash can easily be let out by just popping the door open, as well as students coming into class

    from lunch or specials they can throw away last minute items. Next there's a visual poster of what Diversity means, it is important for students to see that in the classroom to feel

    welcome and be kind to one another. To the right side of that poster there will be a bulletin board in honor of showing students progress and “Star Of The Week”, this will

    motivate students to achieve and do their best in the classroom. Moving on to the right corner in the back of the room is the kidney table, where I pull students to help them on

    what they are struggling in or small group teaching when it is needed. Right after that is the Computer station where 6 computers will be used for reading purposes or research

    projects. In the left corner there is a Reading corner where students can go during reading time or when they are caught up in assignments. It consists of a comfortable couch, a

    lamp, and a bookshelf. If you look straight ahead you will be able to see the Chromebook station where students are able to get a chrome book and then place it back at the end of

    the day. Next, I have my desk where I can easily see every student and everywhere in the room. The student desk will be in the center of the room. Above the desk I will hang up

    ceiling decor to differentiate the table color names. Straight ahead the white board will be in front of the room where a projector also will be at. Lastly, I will have a poster on the

    left side of the wall about Culture Diversity and why it is important. This is an insight of what I hope my classroom design will look like.
