The document details the methods, materials, quality and safety controls to be implemented
in the execution of BLINDING of Concrete.

3. 1 Compaction -
Compaction to be performed as per required level and All the test for
compaction to be completed prior to start blinding works
Plate load test, Field Density test , CBR etc. to be completed with
approved laboratory
3. 2 Antitermite Treatment -
3. 3 Blinding Concrete -
Make sure that surface area is well compacted and compaction test
results are satisfactory
Antitermite Treatment is completed & area to be covered with
Polythenesheet and need to cast the blinding within 24 hours of
application of anntitermite .
Surveyor has to mark the area of Blinding & to be verified as per
approved SD & co-ordinate
Shuttering for sides to be done with appropriate support system in order
to firm the concrete blinding .

Workplace inspections will be carried out by the person in control of the specific activity
by CSCEC and Sub-Contractor. Where Sub-Contractors are required to carry out such
inspections, the responsible CSCEC Manager must have a system of ensuring the
adequacy of the inspections process.
Compactor and equipment’s used for levelling will be inspected and ensure all valid
documents are available.
The works will be carried out according to all requirements set out in the site HSE Plan
and applicable
5. EMERGENCY ARRANGEMENTS
Adequate fire extinguishers will be provided at the work places and should ensure that
the access towards it is always maintained.
Depending on the situation, the committee shall keep in close communication and liaise
with one or more of the parties detailed in Emergency Numbers. (Police, Ambulance, Civil
Defence)
Additional hazards involved for the works will be identified, assess the risk and adequate
Control measure must be taken to minimise the potential hazards to a level as low as
Reasonably practicable.
7. ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Interface with Technical department to deploy and agree the best methodology
required for construction.
b) Plan and determine the required resources for conducting the work.
c) Interface with the Safety Personal to ensure that all aspects about the work are
being considered.
d) Brief all the Site Engineers and Foreman with regard to their roles and duties.
e) Monitor the work at site and guide the site team for any areas of improvement.
a) Monitor that all the activities are running as per Method Statement and
specification.
b) Prepare necessary inspection requests for materials and site activities.
c) Ensure that all necessary records such as test reports, approvals and other records
are in-place prior to commence with the work.
d) Ensure that all the tools for testing are provided before starting the backfilling work.
e) Coordinate with the Laboratory for collecting the samples and getting the results at
the required dates.
a) Shall execute the job as per the approved method statement, drawings,
specifications and job Safety Analysis guidance.
b) Issue the correct and approved materials and explains the daily tasks to his
workforce.
c) Ensure Inspection request are in place on completion of the activity.
d) Work hand in hand with the Project Team to deliver a quality output.
e) Report to the Construction Manager for any discrepancies found in the drawings.

11. Distribution
CSCEC is committed to comply with national and local regulations and the Client’s
requirements to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the
agreed quality and safety requirements. The Consultant will be notified of any changes
required on site and approval will be obtained prior to the works being carried out.
