➔ The activity that you will submit to me is ONLY the “Deepen” section of this Instructional
Sheet.
➔ For submission of activities, please refer to the date stated in the “Deepen” part of this
Instructional Sheet. Please submit them PUNCTUALLY.

Good day my dear student! Praise be Jesus and Mary! Welcome to another week of fun learning!
PRELIMINARIES I have prepared activities and new lessons for you to acquire. But before you start, kindly bow down
your head and say your personal prayer.
As you go along in this module, in the long run and on your own, you will be able to read and
write numbers proficiently using objects around you in ones, tens and hundreds as applied in
preserving God’s creation.

Have you ever been asked the question “how many”? How many are you in the family? How many
pencils you have right now? How many? When you are asked the question “how many” surely you
think of a number, right?

Our numeration system is called the Hindu-Arabic system also


called the Decimal System. This system uses the digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

In this chapter, you will discover many things about our


DISCOVER numeration system and money. You will be able to understand the
relationships between these numbers, their value and place value.
You will know the expanded form, comparing and ordering of
numbers. You will demonstrate mastery in reading and writing
numbers.
At the end of this module, you will be able to:
 Rounds numbers to the nearest ten, hundred and thousand. (M3NS-Ib-15.1)
 Compares using relation sybls and orders in increasing or decreasing order 4- to 5-digit
numbers up to 10,000. (M3NS-Ib-15.1)

and follow the instructions in each lessons!

CHAPTER 1: NUMERATION SYSTEM AND MONEY

Lesson 1 Rounding-Off Numbers


Instructions:
➔ Read and understand the discussions on page 14-15 with
the guidance of your parent, guardian, or older sibling.
➔ As part of your exercise on this lesson kindly answer,
“Concept Review A” on pages 15 on your book.

Lesson 2 Comparing Numbers


Instructions:
➔ Read and understand the discussions on page 17 with the guidance of
your parent, guardian, or older sibling.
➔ As part of your exercise on this lesson kindly answer, “Concept
Review B” on page 18 on your book.
Lesson 3 Ordering Numbers
Instructions:
➔ Read and understand the discussions on page 19 with
the guidance of your parent, guardian, or older
sibling.
➔ As part of your exercise on this lesson kindly answer,
”Concept Review A” on page 20 on your book.

Now that you have learned the numeration system, challenge yourself and answer the following. But
before that, kindly read first the instructions for this section.

PAPER. Please include your FULL NAME,
