Study plan for your LawSikho course 

Hello!  Welcome  to  your  LawSikho  course.  The  objective  of  this  study  plan  is  for  you  to  be 
able  to  enjoy  the  maximum  benefits from the course and the class exercises, without being 
confused as to where to begin. 
 
How to begin studying:

1. Attend the onboarding session or watch a recording

The  best  way  to  go  about  it  is  to  attend  the  onboarding  session  for  your  course.  In 
the  event  that  you  were  not  able  to  attend the onboarding session, please do watch 
the  recording.  The  recording  for  the  session  is  available  under  the  ‘Recorded 
Sessions’  or  the  ‘Recording  of  live  sessions’  right  at  the  end  of  your  course  on  the

2. Focus on weekly exercises - don't worry about

understanding or reading everything
Your immediate focus must be to complete the exercises allocated
to you.
 
Inside  your  assignment  portal  you  will  have  exercises  allocated  to  you  to  be 
completed.  Right  under  those  exercises,  there  will  be  reference  chapters  that  have 
been  indicated.  Read  up  the  reference  chapters  ideally before the class. If this is not 
possible,  do  read  them  after  the  class.  Then  deal  with  the  exercise  based  on  your 
reading  of  the  course  content.  This  is  because  if  you  read  the  chapters in a random 
order,  you  will  not  be  able  to  retain  what  you have read. If there is something in the 
chapters  which  you  do  not  understand,  read  the  chapters  and  watch  the  videos 
which provide you with that concept. 
 
After  the  feedback  session  is  completed,  a  link  to  the  recording  of  the  briefing  and 
feedback session is provided on the portal.

Please do attend the session where the concepts in the exercise are discussed. If you 
cannot  attend  the  session  connected  with  the  exercise,  you  need  to  watch  the 
recording  in  the  module  for  recorded  sessions.  The  faculty  will  explain  all  the 
relevant  concepts  which  you  need  to  be  aware  of  in  order  to be able to attempt the 
exercise. 

3. What is the regular time that I need to shell out in order to

be able to keep up with the course and assignments?
You  need  to  shell  out  30  minutes  every  day  in  order  to  read  the  chapters  and 
research  about  the  exercise.  Try  to  attempt  at least a couple of questions every day. 
This way, you will be able to deal with ten questions in five days. 

4. What should I do if I am not able to attempt the

assignments or attend classes for some period?
As  far  as  possible,  do  dedicate  the  30  minutes  and  do  not  let  your assignments pile 
up.  A  big  pile  of  assignments  then  looks  impossible  to  demolish.  However,  if  due to 
any  reasons  you  have  not  been  able  to  complete  the  assignments  for  let’s  say  a 
month,  Just  double  up  your  time  for  a  few  weeks  -  i.e.  give  60  minutes  per  day  for 
3-4  weeks.  This  way,  you  will  complete  at  least  4  questions  every  day.  This  should 
bring  you  in  line  with  the  other  people  in  the  class  sooner  than  you  might  have 
expected. 
Once  back  with  the  class,  you  can  go  back  to  your  regular  schedule  of  30  minutes 
per day.

5. If I have any questions in relation to the content, whom

should I reach out to?
There are three ways in which you can have your doubts resolved. You can put down 
your  doubts  in  the discussion board on the LMS. You can also put down your doubts 
in  the  whatsapp  group  of  your  course  and  your  faculty  or  your  course  anchor  or 
even  other  students can respond to you! If your doubt is not resolved through either 
of these mechanisms, you can reach out to the course anchor / content head directly 
on WhatsApp. 

6. Do I need to read up everything inside the course?

You  will  feel  the  urge  to  read  everything  at  once.  The  courses are very detailed, and 
you  cannot  read  all  of  it  very  quickly.  Remember  that  you have access to the course 
materials for three years.  
 
Your  first  goal  is  to  read  the  reference  materials  connected  to  the  exercise  and 
perform the exercises. 
 
In  some  cases,  reading  the  reference  materials  will  not  explain  the  basics,  and  you 
will  need  to  look  at  chapters  or  videos  in  the  introductory  modules  to  understand 
the concepts. Feel free to do that.  
 
You  can  also  refer  to  the  study  materials  and  templates from time to time based on 
any  real  life  situations  which  you  face.  The  templates  are  downloadable  and 
printable, so feel free to use them as and when they need arises in your career.   
 
You  can  read  the  other  materials  as  and  when  you  get  time.  Go through them once 
before attempting your final exam. 
 
New  content  and  updates  are  added  from  time  to  time.  You  will  be informed about 
these  upgrades  through  Whatsapp  messages  in  your  course  group.  Feel  free  to  go 
through them as and when necessary.   
 
Note​:  Make  sure  you  do  not  not  exclusively  rely  on  the  hard  copy.  A  lot  of  unique 
content  and  videos are  added  on  the  LMS  over  the  duration  of  the  course  which 
cannot be provided in the hard copy.   

7. I find some things inside the course difficult to understand.

What should I do?
Do  not  hesitate  to  spell  this out. Don’t compare yourself with the others who may or 
may  not  ask  questions.  Every  learner’s  needs  are  important.  Please  reach  out 
directly  to  your  course  anchor  /  content  head  and inform which chapters or content

you  find  difficult  to  understand.  The  names  of  the  course  anchor  and  content  head 
will  be  informed  to  you  in  your  welcome  email.  We  will  simplify  the  language  or 
ensure that the content is amended to provide clarity. 

8. How do I prepare for the test - the MCQs at the end of the
course?
This  isn’t  going  to  be  a  memory  test  at  all  unlike  what  you’ve  witnessed  in  your 
academic  pursuits.  We  will  test  you  on  either  the  concepts  or  on  the  applicability of 
law. You may even find some questions entertaining to read!  
 
If  you  have  understood  the  concepts  within  the  content of the course and have also 
applied  your  mind  to  completing  the  assignments,  you  should  not  find  the  MCQs 
difficult  to  deal  with.  You  may  also  find  a  practice  quiz  at  the  end  of  each  module, 
but if not, understanding the content and attending the classes is all you need! 
 
Go  through  the  study  materials  on  the  LMS  once  before  you  attempt  the  test​.  It  is 
not necessary for you to attempt the test at the end of the course, you can attempt it 
at  any  time  over  the  duration  of  the  course  from  the  moment  that  it  is  made 
available to you.
