the responsibilities under the Executive Branch. Address the questions below using

Identify the 15 departments in the President�s Cabinet and give a brief description
of what each department specializes in.- State Treasury:(Ability to manafe

Explain the difference between a line agency and a staff agency. - The difference
between the tw is that line agency is to provide to the people while Staff
Angencies do not have that ability.

Review the White House website and the page on the Executive Branch. Identify the
roles of each division of the Executive Branch by completing the chart below.
Who makes up the Cabinet?-Both vice president and 15 departments.

What is the purpose of the Cabinet?-Help advise the president and respective
office.

What is the Executive Office and what are its three most important agencies?-The
White House Office, the National Security Council, the Council of Economic
Advisors, and the Office of Management and Budget.

Who makes up the President�s �inner circle�?-The secretaries of state, defense, and
treasury, plus the attorney general

How does the Chief of Staff assist the President?-To manage all policy development,
daily operations, and staff activities for the President

What are some of the areas the Executive Office agencies oversee?- Council of
Economic Advisers.
Council on Environmental Quality.
Executive Residence.

Tour through the different sections of the West Wing at the White House.
What is the significance of the 45 second commute?-Gives space for coal and wood .

Why does the White House Press Room have a unique shape?- Its apart of the oldest
parts of the house.

Where does the President meet with his top advisors?-The mahogany room which has
assinged chairs.

Where did the old Fish Room get its new name?-Nixon had changed it to "Honor of
Theodore Roosevelt

What is unique about the President�s office? - Gives the oresident a change o
publicly speak to the American people.
