At the end of lesson the pupils are expected to:

a. Recognize the harmony in music.

b. Classify and name the hand signal in harmony

c. Explain and state the important of rhythm.

B. Review

Yesterday we discussed about the


pentatonic scale that composed of five
tones. They can be used to create exiting
and interesting melodies.

How many tones do we have in pentatonic


scale, Shiela? There are five tones in pentatonic scale

What are those five scales, Reuel? They are Do, Re, Mi, So and La.

Very good!

What about the hand signal? Can you


interpret it, Rica?

C. Discussion

Our lesson for today is all about of


harmony.

What is harmony, Eunecy? Harmony is the singing is combination of


simultaneously sounded musical notes to
produce a pleasing effect and create a full
sound.

Do you know the song entitled “ are you


sleeping” Yes teacher.

Let us sing it first.

What did you notice to the notes of each


syllable, Angela? I noticed that on every syllable there is
corresponding notes.

What are the measures of those notes,


Lyca? There are half note eight notes and quarter
notes.

How many syllable in quarter notes,


Marlene? There is one syllable in quarter notes.

How about in eight notes, Christy Joy? There is also one syllable in eight notes.

How many syllables in half notes, Leah? The same as quarter and eight notes.

practicing the melody and the tune of the
song. Are you sure that it will become
beautiful and interesting? Did the audience
feel disappointed or not? Yes, the audience will fell disappointed
because they expect that our performance is
really good that can catch their attention. So if
it will happen the performer fell embarrassed
and rejected.

What will you do to make your


performance become successful and
beautiful? First, we need to familiarize and memorized
the lyrics of the song then concentrate and
lastly, imitate well.
