Incicentally my Brother Dr Shaheryar Ali Khan who lives in Kolkata is MD Alternative medicine

and he took a full course with this Board.He was also awarded a gold Medal for his work;

Hotel where the Conference was held was booked..I think about 700 - 900 foreigners had attended

However, in our opinion the list is very small ,

to be frank there are hundreds of fake
universities which are running in  all over
India. Not only that, there are universities duly
recognized by UGC , who are running the
courses for which they haven’t got recognition
or affiliation with UGC /AICTE. Then there 
are universities which are running in the
establishments which are makeshift, yet they
are able to award professional qualifcaiton like
Engineering degree. And there are universities
like Symbiosis who are running professional
courses which are not  recognized by UGC or
AICTE , yet they are more successful in
getting right kind of placements for their
students. Then there are many universities
which are recongnized in a specific state but
dare to run off campus study centres and try to
make money by increasing the number of
students. There are many universities or
educational societies which are running
controversial courses which haven’t got any
real value, yet they are able to make money by
making false promises of great placement and
allowing everybody to enter the course. The
greatest example is ICFAI which allows
everyone to join its 24*7 distance learning, 
professional courses without any entrance
exams. In our survey we found that even the
brightest students were failing in the exams of
this university.  Same is the case with IGNOU
where many students enter the couses but very
few are able to pass out.  Why such kind of
low passing out percentage , undoubtedly
there is something wrong with these
universities either their curriculum is not right
or the process of  admission is doubtful which
allows the entry of below par or uninterested
students.  UGC must do thorough
investigation into the affairs of the universities
, specially universities which are offering
Distance Education and compel them to
improve the passing percentage or simply add
them to the black list.

I didn't declare them as fake. It was done by University

 Grants Commission, the highest authority in India who
oversees the higher education in India.

Symbiosis and ICFAI are not in the list of UGC. The

author of the commentary is throwing light on some
aspects of these institutions which need improvement.

of the world! If someone is so dumb that he cannot pass
these exams, he should quit studying.
