Library services can be define as the services provided by the library for library user with
the information they needed. Library services can be divided into two type which is technical
services and information services. Technical services can be define as any services that
include all of the behind-the-scenes operations that keep a library functioning. In the other
hand, there were information services is the services that include reading education, meeting
users requests for specific information and the management of the use and loan of library
material and equipment. There are many differences between technical services and
information services.
First of all, for technical services there were acquisition. This is the process after
purchasing, gifting or exchanging library material and this department is in charge of
acquiring new resources for the library’s collection. For example, a library made an
agreement with a certain publisher or vendor to purchase anything that this publisher or
vendor offers. However in information services there were reference service. All of the duties
done by a reference librarian at a library's reference desk to satisfy users' information needs.
For example, reference librarian can teach the students and user on how to use library
catalogue or recommend the proper keyword or subject that are used in the library catalogue
for the topic that the user wants.

library resources must be organised and made available to library patrons. For example

catalogue. In the other hand, there were circulation process under information services. This
is the process of borrowing and returning books and other materials from a library. For
example, when individual boorow a book from the library their information about the books
that they will borrow will be typed in the database and the last date of borrowing the book will
be given.

a system for categorising library resources into subject areas. There are various type of
classification such as Dewey Decimal Classification(DDC), Library of Congress
Classification(LCC) and Universal Decimal Classification (DDC). However, in Information
services there were fee based services. In return for money, a library or information broker
provides a service of information. For example, photocopying services, fee based online
searching and document delivery services.
Last but not least, technical services provides indexing services. This kind of services is
an services that Using index words or other symbols to describe or classify a document in
order to convey what it is about, summarise its content, or improve its discover ability. On
the other hand, for information services they provide selective dissemination of information.
This is a service or publication that alerts scholars, researchers, readers, clients, or workers
to newly published literature in their field. It is generally available in special libraries serving
corporations, organisations, and institutions where access to current knowledge is important.
In conclusion, During after-school hours, public libraries give free access to knowledge,
technology, and a safe place to be. Furthermore, libraries have the ability to provide high-
