Please write a personal mission statement, including four components: A Vision Statement, a Mission Statement, your Core
Values, and your Goals (please see descriptions below).
Vision Statement (global picture of what you want to achieve moving into the future-the long view of who you want to be
professionally):
Often starts with the word “to”
To guide students to get an understanding of educational concepts, and to also instill into them an understanding of their deep
worth and capabilities.
Sample: To ignite students with their own passion for life and learning and to support the growth of deep internal levels of
confident faith and a strong sense of empowered agency.
Mission Statement (who you are now-should connect with your vision statement to show how what your doing now will get you
where you want to go in the future):
Should be concise: 1 sentence, 2 at the most: LESS is MORE.
Should capture the essences of who you want to be as a teacher

show up on time, and go the extra mile on behalf of my school and my students
o Maintaining a close relationship with the Lord that empowers me to have the wisdom and strength to live a virtuous
life. This includes honesty, compassion, fairness, increasing freedom from begetting sins…
Dedicated to put forth my best foot and accomplish goals to the best of my ability, while keeping others in mind.
Passionate about creating a welcoming learning environment that has high quality interactions, lessons, and management.
Demonstrating and acting out God’s love to everyone I encounter, no matter the age or status. Extending compassion and
wisdom when dealing with school conflict and concerned parents.
Creating a safe space in my work environment for those around me, both staff and students, to feel confident that they are
being heard and cared for when they step into the room.
Dedicated to try my absolute best in every situation with grit and perseverance, and to do everything in my power to cultivate
the minds of my students.
Help build the next generation into people who have strong characteristics that value honesty, integrity, perseverance,
positivity, optimism, and dependability.
Goals (at least 3) (statements of what needs to be accomplished to fulfill your mission and vision):
