Abstraction
The classroom environment, today, is completely different from the traditional classroom.
The technological component of learning is constantly growing. More and more classes are
taking place online – yet rather than simply being a substitute for classroom courses, they can be
blended with a classroom-based approach. This often offers University students more engaging
and motivating experience.
Abstract
Advances in communication technologies offer new opportunities for the conduct of qualitative
research. Among these, Zoom— an innovative videoconferencing platform—has a number of unique
features that enhance its potential appeal to qualitative and mixed-methods researchers. Although
studies have explored the use of information and communication technologies for con- ducting
research, few have explored both researcher and participant perspectives on the use of web and
videoconferencing platforms. Further, data are lacking on the benefits and challenges of using Zoom
as a data collection method. In this study, we explore the feasibility and acceptability of using Zoom
to collect qualitative interview data within a health research context in order to better understand its
suitability for qualitative and mixed-methods researchers. We asked 16 practice nurses who
participated in online qualitative interviews about their experiences of using Zoom and
concurrently recorded researcher observations. Although several participants experienced technical
difficulties, most described their interview experience as highly satisfactory and generally rated Zoom
above alternative interviewing mediums such as face-to-face, telephone, and other videoconferencing
services, platforms, and products. Findings suggest the viability of Zoom as a tool for collection of
qualitative data because of its relative ease of use, cost-effectiveness, data management features, and
security options. Further research exploring the utility of Zoom is recommended in order to
critically assess and advance innovations in online methods.
As with comparable plat- forms like Skype, Zoom offers the ability to communicate in real time
with geographically dispersed individuals via com- puter, tablet, or mobile device. However,
unlike many other VoIP technologies, Zoom possesses a number of additional advantages that
enhance its potential research utility.

Introduction
Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service you can use to virtually meet with others -
either by video or audio-only or both, all while conducting live chats - and it lets you record
those sessions to view later. Over half of Fortune 500 companies reportedly used Zoom in 2019
and during 2020 it hit even greater heights, racking up 227 per cent growth over the year.
Before the pandemic(Covid_19), many companies were already using the videoconferencing app
Zoom for business meetings, interviews, and other purposes. These days, many individuals
facing long days without contact with friends and family have moved to zoom for face-to-face
and group get-togethers.

When people are talking about Zoom, you'll usually hear the following phrases: Zoom Meeting
and Zoom Room. A Zoom Meeting refers to a video conferencing meeting that's hosted using
Zoom. You can join these meetings via a webcam or phone. Meanwhile, a Zoom Room is the
physical hardware setup that lets companies schedule and launch Zoom Meetings from their
conference rooms.
Zoom Rooms require an additional subscription on top of a Zoom subscription and are an ideal
solution for larger companies. This is a quick guide for those who haven’t tried Zoom yet or who
aren’t yet familiar with its features (or who have used it with friends but want to start initiating
their own meetings).
Featuring tips on how to get started using the free version. One thing to keep in mind: while one-
to-one video calls can go as long as you want, any group calls on Zoom are limited to 40
minutes. If you want to have longer talks without interruption (and want a few extra features),
you can either pay for Zoom’s Pro plan ($14.99 a month); you can also try an alternative
videoconferencing app

Click on “Schedule”
A pop-up window will give you a variety of options, including the meeting topic, timing,
whether you will use a “waiting room” (in other words, whether each participant will have to ask
permission to enter the meeting), and whether it’s a recurring meeting
If you click on “Advanced options,” you can decide whether participants can join before the host
gets there, whether participants should be muted on entry, and whether you want to automatically
record the session
INVITE PEOPLE TO YOUR MEETING
You can invite people to a Zoom meeting in a few different ways. If you’re using the desktop or
mobile apps, click or tap on the Meetings tab. From there:
On the front page of the desktop app, you should see your scheduled meeting on the right side.
Click the three dots to the right of the meeting title, and then select “Copy Invitation” to copy
your Zoom meeting’s URL, ID, and phone dial-in information to your clipboard. You can then
drop it into an email or text message. You can also click the Meetings tab and click the “Copy
