Seminar Report on Zoom Meeting Technology

Introduction
 Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local,
desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online,
with or without video.
 Before the Corona virus many companies were already using the
video conferencing app.
 Zoom is one of the most popular free software applications
worldwide. It is used for telecommuting, distance education, and
social relations.
Zoom meeting main features

1.One-to-one meetings: Host unlimited one-to-one meetings even with


the free plan.
2.Group video conferences: The free plan, allows you to host video
conferences of up to 40 minutes and up to 100 participants.
3.Screen sharing: Meet one-to-one or with large groups and share your
screen with them so they can see what you see. 
4.Recording: You can record your meetings or events too.
How it works?

The first thing to do, of course, is to register for the service.

You can do this either from your laptop or from your mobile phone. We’ll cover the
web service first.
1. Download the Zoom app to laptop, desktop, Smartphone.
2. Go to zoom’s sign up page. And follow instruction.
3. You can also sign in Google account.
4. Once you’re logged in, make sure you’re on the “Home” tab, and then click the
orange “New Meeting” button in the Zoom app. Your meeting will start

and installed the app, it’s simple to
start a meeting.

Due to the corona virus and ensuring social distance measures, video platforms such
as Zoom have replaced traditional on-campus learning.

1. Highest Maximum Participant Capacity


When compared to similar apps and services, Zoom has the highest maximum
participant capacity. The free plan supports up to 100 participants.
2. Easy to Use and Deploy
Zoom is super easy to use – just download, click it, set it up, and you are off and
running. This is one of the easiest pieces of video conferencing solution business could
ever deploy.
3. User-friendly
Zoom app installation is an easy three-step process — download, install & open.
Besides laptop and desktop, it supports mobile also because it has a cross-platform
conferencing tool. So it runs on Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Disadvantages of Zoom meeting
1. Zoom Security Concerns- Intrusion by Outsiders
 A group of hackers zoom-bombed hacking user-passwords and took over the virtual meetings.
2. Cyber Attacks may shrink the number of users
If Zoom Conference Security Risks are not taken care of on time, the developing company may face an
economic backlash by losing a huge number of users simultaneously.
3. Internet Dependent
 Zoom requires 600 MB to 1.7 GB of data per hour. Therefore, an internet connection with limited
data does not support the service.
How to Secure Zoom Meeting?
1. Enable the Waiting Room Feature
This Zoom security feature gives hosts the power to allow only trusted
participants into their meetings. When you enable the waiting room feature,
participants have to wait until the admin allows them to enter the meeting.
2. Enable the ‘Lock Meeting’ Setting 

• Another Zoom security setting you can enable to avoid this issue is
Lock Meeting.
• Once you start a meeting and notice that everyone has arrived, go to
the Security tab at the bottom of the screen. There, you’ll find the
Lock Meeting option.
3. Limit Screen Sharing

• Screen sharing is one of the most convenient features that Zoom


offers.
• In business meetings where the number of participants is limited and
you know all of the people involved.
4. Limit File Sharing Capabilities
 Another cool feature about Zoom is that it allows users to share files via
chatroom. The good news is that you can easily restrict file sharing by taking the
following steps
Open Zoom.us in your browser and log in.
Click on MY ACCOUNT from the top menu on the right-side.
Choose Settings from the left-hand sidebar.
Select In Meeting (Basic).
Locate File Transfer.

Generally, at present different organization use zoom meeting
technology.
It is the most increasing and important technology now a day.
Before the Corona virus, many companies were already using the
videoconferencing app Zoom for business meetings, interviews,
and other purposes. These days, many individuals facing long
days without contact with friends and family have moved to
zoom for face-to-face and group get-together.
