Introduce my Professional development plan (PDP)

A professional development plan is a list of actionable steps for achieving your career goals.
(Indeed Editorial Team,2021). A professional development plan helps you reach your goals,
whether they are long-term or short-term. There are different ways to plan professional
development, such as a detailed schedule or writing goals in a simplified form, or writing goals
with evidence and examples and ways to reach this goal. In the end, it is a plan that helps a
person reach his goals. And I will use it to reach the goals I want to achieve in this training

The Professional Development Plan helped me a lot in my training. At the beginning of the
training, I set the goals that I want to achieve during this training, and then I started writing them
in the PDP. I thought about the goals that would help me to be more professional and that would
make me a very good teacher in the eyes of the principal, MY MCT, and my MST.

These goals will make me a professional teacher, and they are the most important skills that any
teacher should focus on because they will help the teacher to control the class, students, and
time. Integration lessons was the title of my research, so it was one of my most important goals
for this training

Justify your professional development goals for this semester.

I wrote this professional development plan in order to develop teaching skills and gain new habits and
skills that will develop me as a teacher and make me a professional teacher. And that is using different
strategies and cooperation with my MST to reach my goals.

In previous trainings, I get recommendations and comments from my MST and MCT. I was
trying to adjust it, but I didn't have a clear plan to follow. As for this plan, I confirmed the
previous recommendations that I obtained, such as social and collaborative. In my previous
training, I learned from my MCT to be more communicative with parents and more effective
with the school, teachers, and principal. Therefore, it was a very important goal, and I must
improve this skill and have a clear plan and focus on it.

As for the second goal, the integration of the lessons was one of the most important goals
because it was my research question. I should have collected information and used various
methods to make it clear to me.

The third goal was differentiation. It is one of the most recommendations we get at the beginning
of each training. It is one of the most important ways that we, as trainees, should focus on. So it
was a necessary goal for me, and I wanted to use differential in new ways that I hadn't used
before.

The final goal is time management. This goal is considered one of the most important skills that
any teacher must master, even if the teacher has sufficient experience. This is not enough
because time management and classroom management depend on students and the methods that
go along with them. (O’HANLEY,2018). Therefore, time management is one of the skills that
we must constantly develop and discover new methods that help us more.

To justify my PDP goals for this semester I want to reach four goals.

Goal 1: Social and Collaborative

By the end of the training, 80% will develop myself in the social and collaborative field.

What helped me to strengthen
my communication with the
teachers is to attend the

good relationship with them. I
take advice from them and learn
from their lessons, and we have
a good work environment.

I faced a few difficulties such

that there was a huge shortage of
English teachers, and this caused
a lot of pressure on my MST.
This caused the planning
meetings to be at times too fast
and simplified due to the
pressure on my MST as she was
finalizing all the plan and only
the backup teachers taking it.
Therefore, sometimes planning
meetings are not very useful.

In the next step, I will be more

effective in planning meetings
and will provide ideas for
activities as well. I will plan my
plan with them during the
meeting to train for the future.

I will organize an event for

teachers and students such as
school radio, health day, or
design a place linked with the
topic of the week.

I was facing difficulty at the
beginning, but after the questions
and observations, I learned a lot,
especially in the integration of
activities and how the lessons are
effective and good for all levels of
students.

Recommendations and comments

from my MST and MCT helped
me a lot because I was confused
at first. After each lesson, I read
the recommendations and
comments carefully so that I
could improve myself even more.

But the difficulty was in the levels

of the students because they were
of the weak level. Therefore, we
had to change the learning
outcomes to be suitable for their
level. I face difficulty when I
teach students on Sunday because
the learning outcomes are new
every week. We were noticing the
extent of students' assimilation,
and should we change the
learning outcomes or only reduce
the numbers for example.

MST AND MCT

My observation today was about how we can

use differentiation in the centers activities.
Today my MST let the students write letter of
the week "t" in their book. She let some
students write full sentence and other students
just write one word. I think this strategy good
because all students will write the letter and
word start with this letter but, if some students
have ability to write a full sentence we can let
them do it.
Goal 3: Using Differentiation Strategies

By the end of the training, 80% I will develop myself more to use differentiation strategies in my
lesson.

In the first two weeks, the level

of the students was very weak,
so I could not use differentiation
a lot because I did not know
how to put a master's level and
there were no master students in
the class. But then, I used
differentiation in focus group
and that helped me a lot in
managing students. I took two
students from the master level,
two from the develop level, and
two from the Emerging level. I
have applied the differentiation
to them, and the group was very
successful.
In the next step, I will make sure
that my MST tells me about the
students' levels, and I will divide
them into groups and each
lesson I will plan a focus group
using differentiation for them.
Then I will also introduce the
differentiation into the centers
because it is useful for the rest
of the students.

 Divide the time on a piece long for the beginning and that
of paper the students would get bored
and I couldn't manage my

observations I had with my
MST, I developed and learned
how to use time more
effectively and students not get
bored. For example, the use of
educational songs, activities on
the whiteboard and, use of
writing and discussions. All
these methods make the
students interactive and at the
same I manage my time.

The thing that helped me the

most was the activities that
required students to solve on
the board, such as writing
numbers, writing letters, or
matching pictures with the
correct word. This method
helped me more in making
good use of the beginning time
without making the students
feel bored and also, it helped
me to involve the students
more during the beginning.

In the next step, I will focus on

using new methods that help
me manage my time and make
good use of time with students'
interaction as well.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I believe that each person should set goals for himself that will help him improve
his performance. These goals developed me a lot and helped me in my training a lot. (Isaacso,
2021)
My MST and MCT helped me a lot in providing notes and I hope to develop myself more. In the
next semester, I will apply everything I learned in this training and continue to progress. I will
focus more on my interaction during planning meetings and be more effective in school such as
organizing events or ideas during my internship.
