Damla Büyüktaşkın is the Senior Regional Livelihoods and Economic Inclusion Programs
Manager for Asia Pacific Countries at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Economic Sustainable Development is her main goal. This is also a constant goal for the United
Nations. The United Nations used to have millennium development goals which were signed in
the year 2000 by more than 180 countries. She was allowed to observe all procedures and had
the honorable chance to participate in all processes related to the Sustainable Development
Goals. She was in charge of different operations in Turkey and had the chance to produce a
report on how the private sector might contribute to the achievement of sustainable
development goals. while the speaker is at the UN, there were about 82.4 million persons
displaced across the world. The speaker will relocate to Jakarta to work on climate change,
however, resources are limited, as is the ability of the entire world to absorb them. But most
importantly everyone needs equal chances. Hale Demirtepe is an assistant professor at the
Izmir Institute of Technology's Department of Environmental Engineering. Throughout this
period of industrialization, the speaker saw the depletion of water supplies and the
concentration on earth's resources regard for the environment. In addition, certain industrial
pollutants have begun to be released into the atmosphere. All of these things had an impact on
the natural balance as well as human existence. The term "sustainability" has three main
elements. Environmental, societal, and economic factors all seem to have a role. They are so
interconnected that you can't tell one from the other. The United Nations aspires to power all
principles of sustainability which would include all people who live on this planet. Ezgi
Gedikgüneş is the President of the Toy Youth Association and the Project Coordinator of
Tepebaş Youth Center. Sustainability is a worldwide issue that is also influenced by our
activities. the speaker set some requirements for sustainable lifestyles. If societies want to live
in a better world, they need to take action and alter some behaviors as the speaker advised.
Why is it necessary to localize sustainable development goals? Because local governments have
the best insight into such issues, due to their close interactions with the individuals and
communities, and have close knowledge of their capabilities. By localizing the target, it will also
be able to establish the linkage of the goals and the influencers on such goals at the local level
which can be translated to a global scale once it is applied in each society.
